Fixin' Up Some Egg Salad

Before we dive in to today's post, I want to take a minute to thank you for the love and support you showed me by way of comments on yesterday's post. Your kindness and generosity through comments never ceases to amaze me. Thanks so much!

Ok. Today I'm sharing the simple art of egg salad.

Cover cold eggs with cold water.
Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and rinse with cold water.

Peel cooled eggs and then grate them into a bowl.
Give a little bit of grated eggs to each turtle - our shelled friends love hard boiled eggs!

Add mustard, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and a little bit of dill pickle juice.

Serve on bread, a bed of lettuce, or with crackers.
Eat out of the bowl all weekend long while your hubby is away on a hunting trip.

Yum!
How about you? Fan of egg salad or no?
How does your "recipe" differ from mine?

I love egg salad, but it's just Miracle Whip, salt and pepper. I serve it between two pieces of bread with a layer of potato chips.

We have this just as egg mayo. I love it warm on toast in winter!

I love it! I can have eggs and I love them because they are so full of great things but I'm not supposed to have too much mayo etc. Not thought of the dill pickle juice though...hhmmm (now I want egg mayo!!)

Mine is pretty similar to yours, although I don't add salt and have no idea about the dill pickle thing! I like to add finely sliced spring onions to it sometimes.

I love egg salad, but have only made it once this summer.

Dill pickle juice! Thanks for the tip.

Never added the pickle juice and I just bash the eggs with a fork ... never considered grating them - you learn something new everyday!

Love egg salad. No mustard here, and I'm another egg hacker, not grater. I've been known to add chopped pickles as well.
My favorite is the blue-green egg salad made from dyed Easter eggs.

We enjoy egg salad here - very similar to yours but with the addition of a little celery seed.

I love egg salad too. I would never have thought to grate the egg. I use an egg slicer and if you put the eggs through several times, you have nicely diced squares.

Just miracle whip or mayo if I don't have it and salt & pepper. I'll have to try the mustard & pickle juice sometime. Oh yeah and I chop my eggs.
