Let Christmas begin!

{origami box tutorial here}

I'm happy today! I love the day after Thanksgiving when I can officially kick into Christmas mode. Got the Christmas blog banner posted, and I'm going to wear my reindeer shirt today.

I plan to spend my day hanging out with Carrie - she's feeding me Thanksgiving leftovers at her house for brunch, then we have plans to make candles, get hair cuts, and doing a little shopping.

November Attitude of Gratitude
* I am grateful that I have a daughter who likes to hang out with me.
* I am grateful that we get to try a new craft today (candle making).
* I am grateful for my husband who set up the Christmas tree and ladder for me before he left for his hunting trip.
* I am grateful for my crazy cat Whiskers Jay who can't stay off the ladder to save his life which is really a crack up (he LOVES the ladder!!!).
* I am grateful for my warm home, plenty of food, a car that runs well, and $$$$ to spend today. I am so very blessed.

What a great post to kick-start my Christmas mood! You know what would make me grateful?? Being able to spend the day with my two AZ girls! I guess I'll just have to "settle" for my cozy house, a full tummy and Christmas crafts waiting to be completed! Enjoy your day! Love you to the max! xo

I can totally imagine the cat on the ladder! This weekend is mainly a planning weekend for me. . . making my lists, doing online shopping, ordering Christmas cards. We'll decorate next weekend and likely get the tree the following weekend.

I am always grateful to hear about you and Carrie: It give me hopes that one day my girls (15 and almost 13) will outgrow this crazy teenage busy.

The Christmas Banner is ACE! Love that turtle - and the note makes it extra-special. Very cool.

Tell Carrie that Lizzie says "Hi"! I hope you are both having a wonderful day and that you really enjoy your first candle-making attempts. I tried this years ago, when I was a "Girl Guide". It was fun, but I've never done it since. I was thinking about it though, a couple of weeks ago, when we had a power cut in our village that lasted 5 hours!!
DH wanted the Tree out this weekend, but I won't let him get it til next weekend... I have so much to do and I can't cope with the decorations yet (not til I've cleaned the living room anyway!).

Happy tree dressing!
