these pictures had to be made into something! :o)

I haven't done a 12x12 layout for a while so this was really fun. I'm actually going to put this in a shadow box frame and hang it in my new craft room. Yes, "new" craft room... Carrie is in the process of searching for an apartment (gulp. sniff.) and when she leaves her room will become the new craft space. The walls in that room are painted these colors that we both love ("Pool Party" blue and "Fresh Cut Grass" green). This little ensemble of Savannah pix will look great in there. (But no hurry, Carebear!!! xoxo)

Background paper is Doodlebug with a green mesh layered on top. Circles and "S" were cut with my Cricut (love!).

There's going to be a wedding...

The daughter of a dear friend of mine is in the middle of planning a wedding. I've been collecting photos and tid-bits of information from Facebook, her mom, and one of her bridesmaids. Here's a look at what I've been working on for the past few weeks. (I left a couple of pages out because there is personal info on them.) :o)(Argh!!! This is SOOOO annoying! WHY would this picture be turned this way?!?! It's not like this in my camera, OR on my computer...just on Blogger...)

♥ Chocolat ♥

Carrie and I saw this movie on Mother's Day in 2000 when it was in theaters (and she was only 12 years old!). We LOVED it then, and we loved it this weekend when we watched it together again. Carrie made an observation that the only thing hotter than Johnny Depp was Johnny Depp playing guitar.

Happy camper waiting to happen...

Oh! I'm SO excited! Doug and I are taking a trip to our property up north this weekend and I'm taking a little project with me. I normally take a sketch book (which I plan to do this time too), but this time I want something to actually work on. I have some pictures that I took the last time we camped there, some 4x4 coasters I lifted from the hotel in Denver where I stayed this past April, and a few simple embellishments.

Now, we'll see if I have[take] time to put this together while we're there. I'll post pix next week if/when it's done. :o)

How I spent my summer vacation...

Sigh. How can one whole week go by SOOOO fast? It was nice being off work, I did a little crafting and did a LOT around the house -- cleaned and took some stuff to Goodwill. I was thinking I didn't have a lot to show for how I spent my time, but not having to work all week did give me time to:

Make muffins for Carrie to take to work on Friday for her work friends that worked on what should have been a holiday:

Take extra time wrapping a present for Savannah's 10th birthday (finally got to use the princess crown rubber stamp I've had for a while!):

Party on the 4th with Doug's family: Doug & me. :o) We spent the day @ Don & Laurie's house (Doug's brother & his wife). Lots of great friends and family, yummy food, fun memories!
