On my plate...

Hello, dear blog friends.

So much for my new year's intention to reduce the amount of sugar and/or white food I eat. I made these cupcakes last weekend and ended up freezing half of them for a later date. My thought was that the next time Doug wanted to have something sweet and homemade I could pull one {or two or three...} of these babies out of the freezer and we'd be done with it. However. I've realized that it's not so much the eating of the baked goods that I love so much, but rather the baking of said items that I really dig!

I'm probably going to have to bake something this weekend, if there's time. Today Carrie and I are heading to downtown Phoenix with our friend, Janae, to poke around in some vintage shops that Carrie has scoped out. Ooooh...SO excited for this little field trip and the photo ops that will abound!

And tomorrow morning we're having a few of my in-laws over for breakfast. I love those get-togethers. We're never sure who will show up, but it's always a good time to be with Doug's family.

And in between I have some craft projects that are calling {screaming} my name. Must.Get.Them.Out.Of.My.Head.And.Out.Through.My.Fingers.

What's on your plate this weekend?

Your cupcake is adorable! I was on a baking tear last month, but I managed to not eat too much at all. Just a little nibble. Extra dark chocolate cake? 2 bites. It was a close call though! Have fun on your shopping trip and with your get together. It sounds like a fun weekend!

We have too many chocs and biccies etc left over from Christmas still so no chance of being healthy yet this year! Plus I need comfort food whilst I write up my assignments for Uni! In February I will try harder! PS your cupcake looks scrummy!

Love your cupcake! Hope you have a wonderful time in the vintage shops - looking forward to seeing the photos! Some crafting time for me this weekend - most of the jobs now done, so I can relax and have some 'me' time. Enjoy your weekend :)

Now I want to make some cuppycakes, as I call them.

My plate is busting over this weekend. Last night my husband and I finally got to celebrate our anniversary. It was last month but with everything happening we couldn't fit it in. In a couple of minutes Greg and I am leaving to pick up my sister and heading to Denver to hit some good shops. Later after parting ways with her we are meeting my brother-in-law to go to a basketball game. Tomorrow it's off to my stepdaughter's to celebrate our grandson's birthday.

Somewhere in all that activity I will find time to catch up my blogs and get my yoga in tonight.

I hope you had a great day with your daughter.

Hope you don't 'accidently' buy too much on your trip with Carrie ;-)
That cupcake looks amazing - I would never have the willpower to freeze any, once made, things tend to get eaten around here!
Am going to give Carrie's Cookies a whirl tomorrow, have all the ingredients, just need to translate the quantities to British now. I'll let you know how I get on.
