Photo Scavenger Hunt Check-in

It's time for a monthly check in with Rinda and her annual Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt. Here are a few that I've found this month:

Item 2 - a garden gnome

I already shared a photo for this item, but I knew at the time it might not make the cut for my final choice. My previous gnome photo was an easy find as that gnome lives on my kitchen window sill, but I loved this one, found at our local book store in the bookmark rack.

Item 3 - birds on a wire

There aren't many wires around my neighborhood, so the chances of me finding actual birds on a wire are slim. These guys hang out on my kitchen wall, so for now I'm using this as my entry for item number three.

Item 5 - a rack of postcards

We met my brother and his family in San Diego for the fourth of July, and I took this photo of a wall of postcards while we were there. Why you would ever need this many choices for postcards is beyond me, but there you have it.

I also took a photo of my brother juggling while we were in San Diego too. If you didn't catch my post about my family's juggling genes, you can read that by clicking here.

Item 9 - a bakery

This one is at the grocery store where I do a lot of my shopping. And this photo could also work for item 10, a photo bomb, but I'm holding out.

Item 16 - a sign in a language other than English

I know where I can find some signs in Spanish but those require driving around in the heat, so I was happy when I walked past my KitchenAid mixer and noticed the label stuck on the back. And I didn't even have to go out in the heat.
I'm linking up with Rinda today for her monthly scavenger hunt check in. You can see what other folks around the planet are capturing for their scavenger hunt photos by clicking here.

In all my travels, I don't think I've ever seen a rack of postcards that enormous! I took a photo of a painting of birds on a wire at my MIL's house, but luckily I managed to find a few on a wire driving home from our camping trip! It was a harder item than I imagined.

I think that's the biggest rack of postcards I've ever seen (and looks like I'm not the only one). I like your birds on a wire..a little different and yet absolutely right

Love the birds on a wire! We don't have power lines in our neighborhood, but do have a lot in town. Just need to make the effort to find one with a bird. Love the gnome! I am still hunting for one!

Oooh, Deb - I covet your birds on a wire - they are lovely and so conveniently located!

How's the heat over there - surviving?

I love love love your birds on a wire - I would love some like that on my kitchen wall as well! How super cute! Hmm, is that Safeway?? That really is an enormous postcard rack - wow! And I love your Kitchen Aid - I have a red one as well. I mostly use it for kneading bread dough - almost every other day (yes, we're definitely bread eaters; we come from Germany; I think every child in Germany is already born with a loaf of bread!)

Very creative photos. I never thought to look on an appliance for a sign in a different language. Very sly of you... :-)
