The Book of Instagrams

I love Instagram.
Like, I'm kind of seriously hooked on Instagram.
I love the ability to take a photo with my phone, quickly add a filter, and then
share it in that format with a much smaller, more intimate group of friends
{as opposed to Facebook where lots of people see it and know my business}.

When I posted an Instagram picture a couple of weeks ago of a book of Instagrams I'd had printed {See? I told you I'm hooked!}, several of my Instagram peeps wanted a closer look. So today, I give you my book of Instagrams.

I was on Shutterfly one day, putting together a book of photos from our trip to England, when I noticed a tab for "Instagrams" in the photo upload screen. When I clicked on that tab, I was asked to enter my Instagram log-in information and ta-da! There were my Instagram photos, ready to be pulled into Shutterfly for printing and/or project making. So, I made a book!

I kept the format very basic - chose a white background and the same page layout throughout the book. And the captions I used were the same as the ones I had used when I posted the photo on Instagram.

I also included some hashtags and user names (i.e. @carrierosalind) whenever my original Instagram photo included such. This will really confuse my grandmother later this month when she has a chance to look through this book! {ha!}

The book is 8" x 8" and I love having these photos printed and available to browse through whenever we want. It's a fun little collection of the great trip that Carrie and I had together.

So, how about you?
Do you use Instagram?
Do you like my book?
:o)

PS: You can follow me on Instagram if you'd like. My user name is PaperTurtle.

Great book Deb! Unfortunately Instagram isn't available for the crackberry phones. My next phone will be an iphone or android... I'm tired of being left out!

I don't use Instagram, or take photos on my phone, but I do love your book! PS: one of the words that proves I'm not a robot is "approved"!

It's so neat! Recently a read about a monthly plan where you upload your photos and they send you a little book of photos every month..wish I could remember the name of it. Because they didn't mail to the UK and didn't note it down. I'll keep thinking..

I love Instagram, and this book might be perfect for my My Photigrapher's Eye series. I'll have to check it out.
I actually plan to do a do Shutterfly book for our trip last summer once I finish editing the photos.

Too funny! I just joined Instagram today (neusebrats) so I am not sure yet if I'll love it or not but I do love how simply it was to get those photos into a book :)

What a great idea and book! No iPhone here but I try and take some with my iPad - it's just so awkward though and I don't take it everywhere. Next phone will be an iPhone. :)

I love it! My friend told me about a service that prints them like a polaroid with all the info on the back -date, time, location. But I love a photobook - and instagram!

When you made this book did Shutterfly put in the original captions from Instagram or did you have to type those in manually?
Thanks.

Sutterfly only pulls the photo in from Instagram. After I had my pages set up I went back in and added my own captions. :o)
