I love having fresh flowers in our house, and it's one of my regular splurges at the grocery store. I almost always keep it simple ~ with hardy flowers like daisies and carnations, quickly arranged in a basic mason jar. 
These flowers were on our table this weekend, and they were a great little backdrop for the blood orange margaritas we shared with friends on Saturday. {More on the 'ritas later this week...}

I love to have flowers in the house, but rarely actually make the splurge.
I'm a irregular flower buyer, but since putting the house on the market, I've spent £10 on them ...

Orange is so cheerful!
I don't buy flowers regularly but do like them when I have them. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at throwing them out once they're past their best and dead flowers aren't a pretty look!

I love flowers in the house....in the summer they often come from the garden....but this time of year from the supermarket.....our local Tesco often has flowers on their 'sell by date' priced really cheaply....so it isn't too much of a splurge....and they usually still last about 2 weeks indoors.

I love flowers; I cannot imagine a home without even the simplest sprig of greenery in the dead of winter, and Spring is the loveliest time of all for choice.

I love having flowers in the house. It's daffodils at this time of year - nice to have some colour around. I see some alstromeria in there, one of my favourites along with gerberas.

I made a deal with myself that whenever I knew my counter was free of clutter and I went to the grocery store, I would buy flowers for my counter. Such an easy, cheap way to make me feel happy (and keep my counter clean).
I love fresh flowers, but rarely buy them here....They don't sell them in the supermarkets, and I never think about going to the Florist's...these are gorgeous!

I love flowers in the house - Jane's link up of course, but also, always for myself at home. Nothing fancy, but a few blooms always makes all the difference. I can totally relate to your mason jar - old bottles and jars are my favourite type of vase too!
I too have flowers in my house at the moment - orange roses and carnations as a well done treat to myself for doing some housework!

What a great link-up! Definitely a pick-me-up! Paul has always been good about bringing me flowers. Now that he's less house-bound, maybe he will get back in the habit.

I often buy flowers too - but I mostly go for white ones, roses or lisianthus are my favourites.
Before I was a florist, I used to consider buying flowers for the house a real splurge. I like your daisies, not a common cut flower here in Australia!
These are gorgeous, and yes, flowers are a must especially in the winter. I haven't seen any this bright and cheerful though!

I did a couple of weeks ago, buy some at Kroger and they dried so pretty, that I still have them.
I heard once that you should never put roses near anything citrus...it turns them brown quickly.
I love fresh flowers in the house but somehow very rarely seem to stop to get some. Perhaps today although who knows what's left after yesterday. :)
