I have never been shy about telling people that it's my birthday. And today I will tell everyone! Even my still-new-co-workers will get a taste of what it's like to know me on my birthday. I'm taking cupcakes to work to share with everyone.
I've always loved my birthday, and could never understand the folks who remain hush-hush when it's their day. Don't they realize how many people may not ever have another birthday, and how important it is to celebrate the gift that is another year of life? If you are one of those people, I challenge you to break that chain on your next birthday and tell the world that you are celebrating your life on that day. Chances are, they'll love to have the opportunity to celebrate you by wishing you a lovely day!
And with that I'm off to celebrate!

I know you are going to have a glorious day! I, too am a birthday celebrator, my whole family is, so I always feel sad for those that just let it slip by like any other day. I love having an excuse to fully celebrate the life of people I am so glad were born. That being said your card has just gone postal this morning :/ (but I was almost your first happy birthdayer on fb lol)

I'm with Ruth on the card.. so sorry, it's just a bit crazy here right now. But I really hope you're having a great time!
When I worked in an office, it was a sort-of tradition that the Birthday Person would treat everyone to cakes. As you only had to do it once a year, you didn't mind that it was on your birthday (though if you worked in a big office, you might need a bit of ingenuity to afford everyone's cake!)
Are the choccy muffins in the photo the ones you took to work? If so, I would looove to work with you!!

I love celebrating birthdays and I always try and take the day off work for my day as I feel I should get to spend that one day just how I see fit and not having to attend meetings or deal with others. I also love celebrating others birthdays and the day should never pass by without a cake! I will come back and read more of your blog when at home as I can not see the pictures on the posts at work. catch you later
