Ten Turtles on the Tenth

Me and my turtles.
They're everywhere, really.
So for Shimelle's "10 on the 10th" I thought I'd share 10 of them with you.

PaperTurtle herself.
{Why the turtle?}

This rustic turtle I bought while visiting my friend, Rinda.

One of my favorite pictures of Carrie.
{Yes, we build snow turtles instead of snowmen.}

This super cool chalk-board-sticker sent to me by the Queen of Happy Mail, Ruth.

My {late} mother-in-law gave me this big guy.
His name is "Chip" because one of his back toes is...
you guessed it - chipped.

When I give gifts I try to include something turtle-y. This one was for my nephew, Stone.

You can barely see it, but that's a turtle tattoo on my right foot.

My sweet little vintage "Timmy Turtle" from my Step-dad, Rod.
My girl C when she was three - sand turtles {instead of castles} on the beach.
And finally, two turtle shells that have been given to me by friends.
I know, they are a little bit creepy, but kind of interesting to have.
♥ ♥
Wishing you a happy weekend,
times 10!

I find it cute and sweet that your girl Carrie was raised on turtle love! I had a grandmother who collected dragons and had quite an impressive collection of all kinds - until she was burglarized... I've tried over the years to collect, but turns out I'm just not a fan of knick knacks! If I did have a collection it would be.... you know this one....

... butterflies!

Such an amazing variety of turtles! Very well done, my dear! Of course, the pictures with Carrie in them are probably my very favorite--as well as your foot, even though you know I'm not a fan of tats!!! Love you! xo

Very cool! I have a turtle mask I'll have to see if I can find. My law school room mate used to make snow ducks.

Love all the turtles! Believe it or not, I have built a snow turtle before too...I think I even have a picture...we didn't get enough snow for a full snow man, so a turtle it was!

Great "ten"! Sorry, I have no idea why this only popped up in my Reader today - I have been having this problem lately, it all seems to be all over the place, but I'm glad I got here in the end

I love the turtle you got while visiting Rinda. I thought it was lovely the other day when it had a butterfly sitting on it.
