Santa made me do it.

A holly jolly hello, blog friends.
~ ~
{Accidental self-portrait in the mirror at the kitchen door...
And yes, it's December 7th and I have the front door open.}

Honestly? I would have been just fine without a Christmas tree this year. It's just where I am with things right now. My sweet hubby wouldn't hear of it though. And since he's the king of the castle, we got a tree. That I decorated today. :o)

Fancy Jane was unimpressed with the whole process. She's old that way. She decided to take advantage of the fact that The King had left his quilt out. Whiskers, on the other hand...

I probably could have taken all the boxes out of the way before I took the final photo, but oh well... You get the idea.
It's Christmas at our house now.
How are things shaping up where you are?

Lovely tree, well done Doug! It's not quite Christmas here yet, but we are getting there. DS keeps reminding me that, "It's not Christmas yet, Mummy" and who am I to argue?!

I love the peeks you give of your life and your tree is lovely :) I'm glad Doug said you had to have one! I had been going to stick it out to the 13th before putting the tree up but have agreed we'll do it this weekend instead :) I'm going into town this morning to get my last little presents and then (hopefully) I'm about done. xx

What a festive space you're creating. We're waiting another week to get our tree - I need to get through some work stuff and the kids through the last week of the term before I can feel festive.

Our tree may be going up this weekend--artifical, pre-lit but stunning all dressed up! I'm hoping Rod will take care of decorating it again this year. He keeps it simple with few baubles and it looks amazing! Your's, of course, is a work of art.....love the tree skirt! Love you! xo

Your tree looks lovely. Christmas hasn't arrived yet but it is coming on the train from Newcastle next Saturday and then the decorations will go up and the jolly season will be entering our house.
