And I saw Christmas lights on my way home from work tonight!
And the radio station we listen to at work started its
continuous Christmas music today at 4:00 p.m.!!!
What the...?!?!?
Is it just me?
I'm not ready for Frosty the Snowman on November 14th
for Pete's sake.
{and I won't be putting that blog banner up top until after Thanksgiving!}
November Attitude of Gratitude:
* Thanks for letting me vent!
* and something totally non-blog-post related, but I'm super grateful for Doug. ♥

I always wait until the day after Thanksgiving to put out decorations & start playing Christmas music. I talked with a friend today and she already has her Christmas tree up - I couldn't believe it!!
Vent away ... I'm right there with you!
Claire and I went to the garden centre yesterday and they had Christmas carols playing and their Christmas decorations took up nearly half the floor space! Still a bit early for me - I don't mind music from the beginning of December but my tree only goes up 12 days before Christmas.
xx
No it's not just you. I heard of a mall that had their decorations up before October 1st. (Shaking my head). To me the start of the season is signified by the Toronto Santa Claus parade which is this Sunday - after that ok the smaller decorations can start coming out but music on the radio and trees going up - not before December 1st.
I know what you mean. Last weekend I saw two homes that already had Christmas lights up. I couldn't believe it.
I've been doing a bit of DT Christmas work, so I am kind of prepared, but I don't really like to get going in earnest until the start of December. I think. Maybe.
We have been trying to persuade Uncle Dave to cook us a Thanksgiving meal because he is here instead of there this year
So with you on this (love the upcoming banner) One of the shops the goddesses and I went into this weekend had SANTA there. The others knew me well enough to warn me and tell me to look the other way lol
My kids don't understand why I avoid stores at this time of year. I really like to take my holidays in order and I would prefer that Halloween and Thanksgiving be over before I have to start Christmas!
I have to confess to having played some Christmas CDs already! (only this week though)....i use the excuse that we don't have Thanksgiving to look forward to, so jump right in to Christmas
Alison xx
I'm with you all the way!
I went shopping with a friend today and we had to leave Gap, because they were playing Christmas music. December 1st is plenty early enough for that!!
From the sound of your comments, you speak for the multitudes! As well as me! I really get annoyed with Christmas in October. We went through the carwash the other day and they were pushing gift cards and their ad said "Happy Hallowthanksmas". Not only tacky, but notice even they left Christ out! See you soon, DD!!! Love you! xoxo
Thankful for:
1. My life so far
2. And more to come!
Oh I just love that saying 'For Pete's sake!' really made me smile - and I am definitely NOT ready for Christmas songs in the shops yet!
Another one who agrees with you. I wasn't pleased when our local supermarket had Christmas sweets on the shelves in October, before Halloween even!
Love your little cones of sweets in the previous post too. xxxx
What happened to my comment?? Must have done something wrong! I can't remember exactly what I said but whatever it was, I was in total agreement with you. I also mentioned that fact the carwash here in town has a sign up pushing gift cards. Their sign reads "Happy Hallowthanksmas". Another one taking Christ out of Christmas.....sad.
Love you!! xoxo
I know what you mean Deb. My neighbor put up lights, Christmas Tree, Santa and reindeer in their front yard and is turning them on at night too. Way to early for me.
Oh, I should have known you wouldn't stop with just "tags"! This book is so adorable! The finished project will be even better with all your beautiful family pics in it! And thanks for the shout-out at the top of you post--hi to you, too, Sweetie! xoxo
Thankful for:
1. PaperTurtle posts that start my day with a smile.
2. Having girlfriends to have lunch with today and more friends to have lunch with on Saturday.
One holiday at a time is all I can handle. No Christmas for me until after turkey day.
After Thanksgiving is plenty soon for me too Deb!
