So many people use "victim of circumstance" as a crutch to blame everything and everyone else for the condition of their lives. But the next statement that we all have "the power of developing our innermost selves" blows that out of the water. Love this quote! Certainly is food for thought! Love this quote - especially the idea of stages of life. I do think we all write the content of each chapter of our life; even if the chapter titles are somewhat preordained by circumstance.

And of course, we all have the power to choose to do what we know is right, over what is easy. And to accept the challenges that life offers us - or not. And to be thankful for the good in our lives, rather than complain about what we do not have.
