Arizona heat ~ car s'mores

It's hot in Arizona right now.
Yesterday our temp reached 112°
(that's 44 C to some of you...)

We've made s'mores like this before - stack 'em, wrap 'em, throw them on the side of the grill when we barbecue (or bake them in a hot oven).
But during the summer months my goal is to use the oven as little as possible to avoid heating up the house. So when I saw an idea for car-baked-s'mores here, I was on it!
Hard to tell by this photo, but yes, these are sitting in the front seat of my car.
Fast forward about an hour and...
Yummy.
Melt-y.
Goodness.

I think I'm off to the store for some makings! We aren't at a hundred and hot degrees yet today but the inside of my van is always toasty--I melt more lip balms than I care to admit! Fab idea, Sweetie! Hope you're having a great weekend! xoxo

Um, we are at 20, so not really warm at all by your standards!

I can remember learning how to make s'mores when I went camping in New Hampshire during an exchange trip - though we did need a campfire!

We were forecast 30 degrees today, but there is a lovely breeze so just right here.
Those s'mores look delicious:) What are the biscuits you use?

Angelfish ~ The "biscuits" I used are called graham crackers here in the US. I think they are the equivalent of a disgestive biscuit in the UK. :o)

I don't envy you that weather ... but, on the upside it always makes 35C feel like a 'cool change'! We have been known to try a little car cooking too, and I so relate to what your Mum said, I have left lipgloss in the car one too many times and the results are less than pleasing!

I had a friend who used to put his food in foil and sit it in his dash - by lunch time, it was hot and ready to go. Like his own little slow cooker.
