When grown-up kids are sick...

It finally happened. My all-grown-up-moved-out-on-her-own kid is sick with a nasty cold. I was Mommy-to-the-rescue yesterday with some hot chicken soup and hugs for someone who truthfully, was too contagious to hug. I hugged her anyway. I also washed her dishes and took out her trash.

As I bid farewell she said the sweetest thing:
"bMobm-friend, thanks for the cute soup."

You're welcome, Carebear. Get better soon!

You're such a good mummy!! The soup looks wonderful and I love the little label on it. Hope Carrie feels better soon (and that you don't catch what she has!) xx

And I'll be the gift, the visit, the chores, and the hug were all greatly appreciated. I must say when I read posts like this how much I hate being a whole country away from my daughter! Hope the soup did the trick and she's feeling better now.

Doesn't matter how old they are, they're always your children and the mum instinct is always there. Hope she feels better soon.

Awwwww....how sweet. Can I adopt you as my Mom? I woke up with an ugly cold this morning and could use some soup and mother's love. Your daughter is very lucky to have you.

Hope Carrie is feeling much better and what a lovely mom you are. I am amazed that you find the opportunity to make everything you do a craft project. Lucky Carrie.

Sounds like that just what the doctor ordered. My girl--13--had the flu over Christmas. Poor thing, and she even had a flu shot!

Aww..... Bless you! My Mum's currently in charge of our laundry, because our washing machine broke just before Christmas and although we ordered a new one there's no sign of a delivery date yet! Hooray for supportive mothers :-)

And I hope Carrie is fully recovered now xx
