Handmade for Christmas #2

Carrie and I really like Jason Mraz and his clever song lyrics and melodic voice. One of our favorite songs of his is Make It Mine, and most particularly a line that includes the words "...and over to a table at the Gratitude Cafe." What a sweet gift she gave me for Christmas: a canvas she painted for my kitchen with those words on it:
.
in November 2008, Carrie entered a radio contest and won "meet and greet" passes before Jason's concert. Here's a picture of Carrie and me back stage with Jason. Cool, huh? Carrie was really star struck but I was cool as a cucumber {right}..
His grumpy body guard said no autographs, but that didn't stop this mom from getting one for Carrie anyway. :o)
.
Jason has a great blog that's edgy and fresh and earth loving. I couldn't embed the official video for "Make it Mine," so here's an acoustic version if you'd like to take a listen:

Thanks, Carrie, for the sweet and thoughtful gift. I love it!

Deb,
That's beautiful! I had the pleasure of seeing Jason Mraz last summer before last at a music festival. We were very close to the stage, and he was AWESOME! Thanks for bringing back the memory.

I only have one Jason Mraz song on my ipod - the only one I have heard in the UK - I'm yours - really like it. Love your canvas from Carrie.

I love Jason Mraz's music and play it all the time. Never been lucky enough to go to one of his concerts but how cool that you did! And if you like Jason's music, you may like Joshua Radin too? xx
