Have I mentioned that I love garland?

Some might say that I'm obsessed with garland.
I'm ok with that.

I needed a garland fix the other day but didn't want to create a long strand, so I made this little one to go across a picture frame.
.
And one to send to a friend.

{BTW, this is one of the candles that Carrie and I
made last week ~ wax in a baby food jar, wrapped
with a simple piece of scrapbook paper.}

absolutely love the garland - is it all card? are there 2 layers of the heart with the cord glued between?

That little garland is so sweet. What a great idea :) Our house is so crowded at the moment, I'm not sure where any decorations are going to go. I think we have baby stuff "decorations" this year instead ;-)

:o) Yes, Helena, there are two layers of cardstock hearts stuck together with glue dots (I usually use craft glue but went with dots this time), bakers twine sandwiched between the hearts. And I just taped the ends of the string to the back of the frame. Super easy!

And the photo of us was taken last year at my father-in-law's Marine Corp Birthday Ball. :o)

Both crafts so lovely and sweet . . . and simple!
Here's my thought:
"Garland is bunting on holiday."

That is possibly the sweetest garland I've ever seen! Adorable - but then look at the source! ;)

Hang on - so you like garland? Really?! ;-)

But when it's as cute and adorable as this, who could fail to love it? xx

You lot are highly photogenic over there in Arizona!
I really like how you have packaged the garland for you friend Deb - kraft and red run in my blood I think!

Rinda - you are a cracker ... one of my friends emails me scrappy questions just like that one - always ending in - discuss! I do believe you are correct :-)

Beautiful garlands - I am now inspired to make some too. Off to buy the supplies later!

The garland is adorable, and so is the candle. But, as I recall, you thought these candles were a bit too much hassle, yes? They sure are cute, though.

The garland is gorgeous and I would never think to put it on a picture frame: brilliant!
