It started with a kiss {Halloween treat box blog giveaway}

A Hershey's Candy Corn Kiss to be precise.
I think they are white chocolate, but they do taste quite a bit like candy corn. And now that our temps have dropped, I'm pretty sure I can send chocolate in the mail without having it melt before it even leaves my state. So this post is a show-and-tell on the treat boxes I've made...plus a little Halloween giveaway.

I know some of my international friends don't "celebrate" Halloween the way us crazy Americans do, but who wouldn't want to try some crazy Halloween treats? Anyone? Anyone?

I've made these origami boxes for years...and if I had a dime for every one I've folded I'd have enough in my pocket for airfare to the UK...at least!

I folded these boxes out of cardstock, filled with with Candy Corn Kisses, and personalized them for some of the little people in my life. {Presley, Stone, Molly...}

Ready for some black and orange?
To be included in the giveaway, just leave me a comment and tell me what letter you'd want your treat box personalized with if you are the lucky winner. I'll draw a name Tuesday night {10/12}.
.
PS: The first tutorial I ever did on my blog was on how to make these boxes. At Christmas time I use fronts of holiday greeting cards for the box tops. You'll be seeing more of these during December! ;o)

I love the boxes and am most impressed with the tutorial. I make them as well and find them so useful. Now I know about your tutorial I'll be recommending it. As to an initial if I were lucky enough to win how could I decide? E for me, A for dd and dh, H for us all? It's probably easier not to wi!

Your talents are never ending Deb :), what beautiful little boxes and what a great idea for Halloween treats. I'd love you to put my name in the draw and if I were lucky enough to win I think the initial would have to be E for Emily :)

Deb, your boxes of goodies look good enough to be in any chocolate shop! An 'H' for DS would be fabulous, please! x

If ever you get those dimes, you must call by and visit me!!

I love those origami boxes - I make them often, too - in fact, I'm teaching them to my papercrafts class next week!

I don't celebrate Hallowe'en but if it's a candy giveaway then how can I resist?! And I'd want an 'M', naturally - I don't share chocolate ;-)

Thanks for the chance to win, Deb xx

These are just gorgeous! I can't imagine how much you would pay for them in the shops. I won your last lovely giveaway so I'm happy to take a back seat on this one - but what a lovely prize!

I would love one with an M. I'd totally forgotten the tutorial, but will definitely give it a go. You have beautiful nails, by the way! LOL!
Still need to make up a batch of candy corn & salted peanuts treat (weren't you the one who posted that idea?). I've also seen someone who adds m&m's to the mix.

I've only ever been your side of the Atlantic twice but both times I made it my personal challenge to try as many of your lovely chocolates as possible. Even so, I never saw these before so I feel I really ought to try and get my hands on one. Just for research purposes of course ;-)
If I won, I would like a K for the first initial of my surname, then if I was feeling generous I could share with the rest of the family. Just off to check out that tutorial, those boxes would come in very useful come Christmas time!

The boxes are beautiful!! I would require pink pink pink and leave all the rest up to you! :) I wish we did celebrate halloween the same way you do. Baby showers are just springing up over here as a popular event, so perhaps the enthusiasm for halloween will follow?!

These boxes are great and I am going to have a look at your tutorial in a moment :) If I were to win then I would like a 'P' for my daughter as she likes Halloween a lot, even though we don't celebrate it hugely!

I'm going to go and have a look at your tutorial because I make little boxes that are quite similar - the pattern came from a Creating Keepsakes Christmas edition a couple of years ago.

We celebrate Halloween here but not for the reason you may think ..... a J would be great - would do for either of the smalls :-)

Hey, I use the same pattern for my boxes, except, I use 12x12 patterned paper so they are a little bigger ... one needs trimming obviously. Cute :-)

I love these! Made a few myself in my day! One year I used them for place cards at our company Christmas party--filled with mints and names tags tied to bows on top. Very festive! Wish family could enter! Maybe I'll score a Christmas one???? xo
