Yeah, Baby, it IS my bag!

I actually made a purse that I'm going to use.
.
For me. Just me.
.
The flower was made using the same method as the ones I put on my friend's hat. The fabric I used was a bit bulky and the center of the flower was too large to be covered with just a button, so I made a yo-yo to sew on top, then put the button on.

I think fabric flowers are my favorite thing lately.
♥ ♥ ♥
And extra points if you got the
Austin Powers reference in
the title of this post.
;o)

I don't usually check back on your blog after my morning view but glad I did today! This bag is so cute! Love the double flower! When I did my "trial" flower, I used a piece of old sheet and it was a little thick so I had to use a bigger button to cover the opening. But this idea is so much better although I doubt I'll be making flowers that big! And I totally got the Austin Powers flashback--yay, extra points for me! xo

Any chance these will be in your Etsy?

The flower is indeed fabulous. It gives the bag such a sunny feel that juxtaposes perfectly with the practical color. (And my daughter read in Vogue that tan is the "it" color of the season.)
