Pretty, huh?
My daughter Carrie and I love going to garage sales - especially estate sales where you can find all kinds of great vintage stuff! About a year ago we found some doilies at a garage sale and they have been in my drawer ever since, crumpled up in the same condition in which we purchased them.
I finally got around to pulling them out and cleaning them up. Here's what they look like all pressed and pretty:
The hand work is so beautiful. I set a couple more out and all of a sudden, mid-shot...
Is nothing sacred?!?!

LOVE those pictures, Mom-friend! Especially the last one...great job!
they are beautiful. i have a few around that my roger's mom has made over the years. i think the little critter just likes to be wherever you are.
Very pretty ... and I'm thinking your cat needs its own blog!
I guess I didn't realize you shared my "passion" for doilies! I usually buy at least one in every antique store I visit! I keep my extra ones in the hall linen closet and Stone loves them! They are on a shelf that is just his level and he picks a couple out and carries them around--very cute! xo
I have so many of these b/c my Grandmother used to make them, and I can't bear to part with them. I have some on display in my large buffet (under china) and occasionally think about framing some of the others.

Love them... what are you going to make them into?? That darn Whiskers, he reminds me soooo much of Mr. Norman. Always in the think of things. :-) Great pic of him in the action, you could not have tried to do that if you wanted to huh? Tres'
That was too funny! Great finds too - what is better than beautiful things handmade with love?
Best,
Stephanie
P.S. my lovely notebook and pencils were on my desk during the party and so many people wanted to know where to get them. I think they'll make great party favors for my daughter's birthday this summer!
Haha! Whiskers has perfect timing!
The handwork in those is amazing and it is lovely to see that they have found a caring new home with you :)
Oh, gorgeous! The doilies and the gatecrasher lol.... What plans do you have for the doilies?
