Around here this weekend

Welcome to a brand new week, blog friends.
What a beautiful and relaxing weekend we had here in Arizona. We got to spend time with friends and family, enjoy some glorious springtime weather, eat yummy food, and do some furniture shopping {yay!}.

Just look at that beautiful blue Arizona sky above our orange tree that's full of blossoms right now! And oh how I wish I could upload the scent of those blossoms because they are absolutely Heavenly.

Carrie and I kicked off our weekend at the home of our sweet friend, Kristi, for an evening of music, candles, chocolate, astrology readings (so proud of my girl!!!), cute doggies and fascinating conversation about yoga and what makes us tick. We loved Friday night!

I taught restorative yoga on Saturday morning, got my hair cut, picked up my jewelry order from my sister-in-law Janet's house {yay - I have a new necklace to wear to work today!}, did some grocery shopping, and then came home and played with paper and photos. Three cheers for Saturday!!!

Our niece Kaycee is getting married in a few weeks and I'm creating her wedding guest book. Gosh it's been a long time since I did anything that felt like scrapbooking. I. Loved. It. I'll have a post about the finished project somewhere down the road.

Side note: I finally broke down and purchased a small photo printer and also picked up some small Project Life pages so I can start documenting our fascinating life again. {Ha!} I do miss memory keeping, and plan to return to it now that I have a fun printer.

We discovered our first baby tomato this weekend, and just look at all the blossoms on our new lemon tree!

Doug and I finally did some furniture shopping yesterday and purchased a new couch that will be delivered within the next two weeks. We are so excited! In the 11 years since we've been married I have wanted a new couch, so this is a really big deal for me. It's a super comfortable reclining couch and I'll admit that I'm a little concerned that Doug may never want to get off of it! ;o)

We had Carrie and Andrew over for dinner last night. I made homemade pizza crust and we built our own pizza tops, then Doug cooked them on the grill. It was so nice to eat outside and enjoy each other's company.

And now we face a new week and there's so much to look forward to! There's yoga to teach and my brother will be in town so we get to see him on Thursday evening. Time to stretch my body and calm my mind on my yoga mat before getting ready for work...

Wishing each of you a fantastic week ahead.
Keep your thoughts sweet and kind for yourself and others.

Oh, I'd love to smell orange blossoms and would probably would jump up and down if I had an avocado, orange, lime or lemon tree in my yard :)
