The first time I made pizza crust

I've been wanting to try Elisa Blaha's pizza crust recipe for a long time, and this past weekend I finally did just that.

The recipe was super easy to make, and the result was a fantastic homemade pizza crust.

I topped this one with (store bought) pizza sauce, Italian sausage, mozzarella cheese, black olives, and some fresh basil. I baked it on a basic cookie sheet, but I think the future holds a pizza stone for Doug and me. And, I'm going to figure out how to make my own sauce as well. I'm getting serious about pizza making, my friends!

This will definitely be happening around our house again.

We love home made pizza here and I make it often. Glad it was a great success. I just do mine on a baking sheet. I'm very envious of my friend who has a pizza oven in the garden.

Here is the link to the only pizza sauce recipe you will ever need: http://suburbansahm.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/hidden-vegetable-tomato-sauce.html

I have been looking for a good pizza dough recipe. Not sure I'm brave enough to try making the sauce. I have a couple of pizza stones from Pampered Chef which seem to work well. I can't wait to try out this recipe. Thanks for sharing.

I have a pizza stone and they are great for getting an authentic pizza crust! I make my pizza dough in my breadmaker but will definitely give your recipe a go. I love tuna and white onion on homemade pizza!

looks so good Deb! wish I had made it over for dinner. (I gave up the pizza stone in favor of the large round pizza pans with the perforations. cheaper, easier to clean, and you still get a nice crust.)

Looks yummy! We make pizza at home frequently. I have a pizza stone, but prefer the pizza pan I have that has holes in the bottom. You can use it in the oven or on the grill. We had BBQ chicken pizza with blue cheese and caramelized onions last night. Delish!

It looks delicious! I'm smiling and nodding because TSO 1. has ambitions to own a food mixer just like that one 2. loves to make pizza and 3. always says "that's happening" when she has a good plan

I have a pizza stone but haven't used it yet and this post has got me thinking about dinner tonight.
