Renaissance Weekend Recap

Hey there, blog friends.
Happy Monday morning to you!
I had such a fun and busy weekend and it included a visit to our state's annual Renaissance Festival yesterday with Carrie and our friends, Kristin and Kandi. Today I give you some Renaissance-y photos...

Me to the glass artist guy: "How long have you been doing this?"
Him: "About 10 minutes."
eh-hm
Him: {chuckling} "All my life, Ma' Lady. All my life."

It was so much fun to be out in the sunshine yesterday with my girl and our friends. The annual Renaissance Festival is held on the east side of the Phoenix Metropolitan area, out far enough that it seems like you're in a whole 'nother world. The Renaissance "town" includes structures that are built and vacant all year, save for February and March when it is populated by artists and local fair goers.

Our high temp yesterday was 82° (28°C) - a perfect day to kick off spring time. We soaked up some yummy vitamin D, a couple of pear ciders, and a whole bunch of love and laughter.

Here's hoping the sun is shining on your piece of the planet
and that spring is springing up all around you.
Have yourself an awesome week!

That looks like a fun day out. I can only dream of temps like that! We have sunshine today, but it's cold and windy and there was a fair bit of rain and hail over the weekend! A few shoots here and there in the garden are the only signs of Spring around here.

I've never been to a Renaissance Festival. Just now I was showing my niece this post and she has decided that we should find one here and go! Sounds and looks fun!

I'd love to go too. Yep, there are about two days a year we could wear a vest top like that here - and they aren't about to happen any time soon lol

28 degrees is the start of your spring? You do make me smile! That would be high summer here and the news would be all about heat waves!
Looks like a very unusual place to visit.

That sounds like a fun weekend and what wonderful weather! It was 0 centigrade this morning herer and I had to melt the ice on my car - roll on spring although it is nowhere near as warm as yours!

I love the colours in all these photos!
We had sunshine today; I put the washing out before lunch; I brought it in at teatime; it was still very damp. I'll take 28C as a spring temperature, please!

Oh, that's a super temperature - we had 41 today :). Your top photo is my favourite and made me gasp with surprise! Though I do like your hula-hooping ...

This looks like so much fun! We have a similar festival in the summer an hour or so away. Every year, we say we'll go, but we've yet to do it. Maybe this will be the year.

I've never been to a renaissance festival but I really want to go. I'll have to figure out when the local one is

That looks like it was a lot of fun. I know they have them around here but I've never been. Those temperatures sound really nice - I'm missing them. It wasn't nice coming home to this cold weather. :)
