Sorry about the spoons but well done on correcting your post. My s-i-l did something similar last year and wound ribbon around the handle. I absolutely love the post about the christmas tree decorations that you sent to your mother. How wonderful to have them on your tree.
When my mother passed away we found some of the things we had bought for had labels on the underside that said, thank you for the loan of this, please now take care of it for me.
