A Weekend in December

Good morning, sweet friends.
Many times on Monday mornings I sit here, thinking about the best way to recap our weekend. We're coming off of a really busy one - a weekend filled with Christmas preparations and me fighting an annoying-bug-of-some-sorts. In terms of being sick it's the worst timing ever. But anyway! I did manage to get a few things done...or at least started...

Our house is a jumble of Christmas in progress and the phrase that comes to mind is, "You've got to break a few eggs to make an omelet." I'll get there...

Oooooh this is going to be a tasty omelet...

Sorry to hear you're fighting off germs Deb. Your post did make me smile, having just finished eating my lunchtime omelette! It would appear that it is not only my kitchen full of broken eggs right now! It seems to be getting worse, before it gets better on the organisation front. As you say, we'll get there, because we always do, somehow or other x

Hopefully the cold disappears before it gets into full swing. I'm sort of in the same place as you - Christmas chaos. Tree up, but decorations barely started, gifts bought but in piles awaiting wrapping, wrapping dragged out and making a mess everywhere. But I only have until Wednesday to get it all cleaned up before children start coming home!

Hoping you feel better soon. We went light on decorations this year. I finished Christmas shopping on Saturday and now I have wrapping to do. My sister and I are making cookies this week and I think I'll just sit back and relax a bit before the celebrations begin.

Hoping you will be feeling better very soon ... That's very pretty wrapping you are doing - I love the blue snowflakes on the white ...

Well you are way ahead of us. We did put the stockings up but that is about it.

Hope you feel better soon. I think there's a lot of us at the 'broken egg' part of the preparations. We've got two weeks to get to the omelette stage! We'll get there, we always do!

Hope you're feeling much better today. What with one thing and another there hasn't been any decorating here yet even though we're going light this year.
