Just a Quote for Friday

“After all, a woman didn't leave much behind in the
world to show she'd been there. Even the children
she bore and raised got their father's name. But her
quilts, now that was something she could pass on.”

That's a great one. Did it come from one of her books? I've read a couple of them, and like them a lot.

So true! I was so happy to receive one of the quilt tops made by my mother. Once finished, it will be something to pass down to my girls. I have one finished quilt that I made and it is on my bed. I love sleeping under it - a wonderful feeling.

What a great quote! I think I'll feature my grandmother's quilts next month in Story telling Sundy.
