When a Blogger Makes a Sandwich

My sandwich making took a turn when I cut into the avocado.
Look at that beautiful green, I thought. And the way the light is hitting it.
Where's my camera...

The sound of the shutter opening and closing.
The glow of the light coming in from the window over our kitchen sink.
Pure bliss for this girl.

The other side of the lettuce...oooh...just look at that light!

No wonder it takes me longer than the average girl to throw a couple of sandwiches together.

So easily distracted by light.

Yum! Pretty light! Hopefully your camera will be fixed/replaced soon. Wondering, did you use a phone for your pictures?

{Thanks, Susi} :o)

These photos were taken with my Canon Rebel last week before our trip (and the sandwiches were for a picnic for our first day on the beach). I heard from the camera repair shop yesterday and they confirmed that my 50mm lens is unsalvageable. (boo!) Now they need some $$$ and time to dislodge the remaining part of the lens from the body of the camera to assess the damage there. Fingers crossed for a full (and inexpensive) camera recovery!

lol so true ( for non blogging photographers too, SweetGirl understands my mentality and the guys just accept us) The light and the final sandwich look beautiful.

I always mean to, but they really want their sandwiches fast! Lol! But your title made me think of the "if you give a ,Lise a cookie" books. If you give a blogger an avocado, she'll want some lettuce to go with it, and if you give her some lettuce, she'll notice the way the light hits it, and of she sees the way the light hits it...

I also immediately thought of the "If You Give A Mouse a Cookie" book! And then I thought, well, if it's right it's right. Capturing the perfect light is what it's all about!

The family always knows that a pretty plate of food is going to mean the camera is coming out nowadays!
Lovely looking sandwich, no wonder it got its own blog post ;-)

Yum - could I have one, please? Not only the light is beautiful, your composition of each photo is delicious as well.
