Our Weekend Recap

Hello, hello, blog friends.
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.
Ours was quiet and relaxing for a change.
Here's what I have to show for it...

I realize the print of this fabric is really whimsical and slightly juvenile but I think it made the perfect craft room curtains. During the summer months, this window gets direct sunlight and my craft room really heats up. I'd been thinking of adding blinds to the window, but I'm glad I went with curtains - and this bird and bunting print just makes me happy.

Remember how I said I had other projects to finish before I started on this quilt... Oops.

Rexy boy was out and about this weekend. He's become a bit camera shy, but a breakfast of avocado held his attention long enough for me to snap a few photos.

And outside? Well...it was hot and humid all weekend - lots of clouds but no rain. I went out with my camera in hand, snapped very few photos {compared to the norm} and came back inside. Where's our dry heat?

Doug checked our lottery tickets last night and the result is that our day jobs are still required, so it's off to work we go. Maybe next week's lottery will prove to be more fruitful...

Have a great week, everyone!

The curtains are cute! We are in Day 5 of our current heat wave and HUMID is an understatement. More like soup. Sorry the lottery tickets didn't yield better results...

Oh my goodness, I ADORE your turtle!!! How did he come into your family? Maybe I haven't been reading long enough!!! Your curtains are adorable and super happy. Sorry to hear you didn't win the lottery. If it makes you feel better, we didn't either. Ha ha.

Love the curtains! I guess you didn't get the notice about weird weather this year. :) Hope your humidity is back to your norms.
