On Jokes and Peppers

Q:  What do you call a nosey pepper?
A:  Jalapeño business. :o)

I have never been a good joke teller. I stumble through the joke part, and then I flub the punchline.

My brother Ron, on the other hand, now he can tell a joke. There's this one joke he tells about "supplies" that I've heard at least a dozen times over the years. I laugh everytime he tells it like it's the first time I've heard it.

It seems that joke telling used to be so much more common before the days of internet and email. Oh my gosh, my mother-in-law could email me some doozies when she was still with us. LOL!

So, joke telling isn't my strong suit,
but I think I'm on my way to being a decent pepper grower.

PS: Jalapeño business...get it?
All up in yo' business?
hahahaha

I'm a hopeless joke teller! My Grandpa was the expert, he used to save them up for me but then of course I couldn't tell them the same way lol

The peppers are looking good

I'm not great at jokes either - but word play and puns are a favourite :) Those peppers are coming on beautifully!

The peppers are looking great, but I'm not sure I entirely understand the joke!! I'm rubbish at telling jokes too x

Haha - ok, I TOLD you I'm not good at tellling jokes. And it has occurred to me that some people may not get the "all up in yo' business" reference. ;o)

Cool peppers though, eh?

Lovely peppers but I'm afraid I didn't get the joke! I'm a hopeless joke teller too, always fluff the punchline!

Maybe because I'm American but I immediately got the joke and actually grinned, didn't laugh but grinned. These kinds of jokes are part of the fabric of SweetGirl so I will have to post it on her wall. Thge peppers are glorious!

Lovely peppers on the way. I too am useless at telling jokes - always get the punch line wrong.

Well, your joke is better than what either the 9 yr old or the 6 yr old could tell ... listening to them work out how to tell a joke is excruciatingly funny!

I'm no joke teller either, and this was the first year we actually grew decent peppers! Usually they are as lame as my jokes.

I'm so uncool; I definitely needed the explanation. LOL!

I'm ashamed to say that I laughed and then I realised I had got it completely wrong when I read the explanation! Oh well.. Great chillis by the way, LOVE anything with chillis in.

OMG! It took me a while to get it. I feel so stupid. Seriously Deb, that was not a Hot Joke. But those are some serious hot peppers. You have my mouth watering with those pepper shots.

Well the pepper plants look good. :) I'm like you I am hopeless at telling jokes. BTW, glad you put in the explanation.
