The land around my parent's neighborhood is rich with agriculture. Last weekend while I was visiting, I ventured out for a walk with my camera, and just a few blocks from where they live I came across a community farming plot.
I know, the photo above is of weeds, but I loved the way the light was shining on them. ~click~
I thought it was cool that this field was sectioned off with markers,
indicating the individual sections that families were farming.
All in all, a lovely Sunday morning walk with my trusty camera.

What about your neighborhood?
Any community farming plots near you?

we do have a big community garden in our town. it's where i took the pix of the sunflowers for you.
thanks for sharing your pretty walk with us.
We have "allotments" which people rent and grow vegetables and flowers on, if that counts. Very nice to look at they are too.
Looks likea good place to take a walk
Oh, how lovely - and you know, it looks really rather English!
That last photo is particularly beautiful. No community garden here, but there are some in other parts of town.

I thought of English allotments too...nothing like it in Spain as far as know! Lovely pics Deb

We belong to a community garden. There are 100 plots 10X10 feet. This is our third year, and we love it. We have almost no sun in our yard so growing vegetables isn't an option here.
I grew up in a farming area, but we don't tend to have community allotments down here - you have your own.
Your photo of the weed is lovely.
I know we used to have some but I don't recall hearing about them in the past couple of years. Dad used to have one where I grew up and really enjoyed it.
Great pictures but I really like that first one.
Lovely to see things from another part of the world: here, we have allotments where people can grow vegetables and fruit on land they rent very cheaply from the local authority. I love your wispy seedheads....
My mom's family is all from Fresno, you know. They used to have a raisin ranch.
