What to do with scraps...

I put this little book together using left over scraps from the mini-book I made for my sister's birthday - punched and bound with a Bind-it-All. And the little bag is a collection of punched shapes that didn't make it into my project. It's a little something for the daughter of a work friend of mine. {Hi Jade!}

When I was eight I would have been totally ga-ga over a prize like this!
{Hm...still true at 51...}
What do you do with pretty scraps?

So cute, I would love it then and now as well :) My scraps usually get tossed aside into one of three huge bags for later sorting (that has never happened) and when I'm making something I rifle through them.

So, I'm sure Jade will love it! Very pretty - what a nice present, Deb.
I would like a "bind-it-all", just for a bit of fun. But then, I can always make the books some other way....
Must get back to that series on my blog..I still owe you all the final part about the Longstitch notebooks!

Very cute! Your little friend will adore this! Scraps are the most useful things in the world, I think! Some of my favorite pieces have been made using scraps. (And if you get a chance to do some reading, I finally blogged about the co-ed baby shower...I used scraps for the garlands...having guys included turned out to be tons of fun!)

Gorgeous,Deb....she'll love it.
My scraps get used on cardmaking a lot.....but occasionally I do actually make something with them!

I sometimes use them to make cards or tags that can go on an art journal page. Although, I must confess, that most of the time now, I throw them away!!!

I put pretty scraps in a drawer where I have every intention to use them and never do.

Anything even slightly miniature like this is always going to be a winner with me. Love it. Scraps? I hoard them, can't throw them out, ever

This is adorable!! I would have treasured something like this at that age or any age for that matter!

My scraps get separated by color and placed in bags! I have lots of scraps and find they get used. It's lots of fun to go in those bags and use them, makes them feel new again!

What a great idea! and the perfect way to "waste not, want not". I love how something made out of leftovers is just as delightful as the original project.

What a fabulous idea! Such a cute little present and definitely one I would still love now. You've convinced me to put a BIA on my Christmas Wish List!
