Zzzzzzzoooooom!
It's Monday again!!!
I took a lot of photos this past weekend, both with my big camera and
with my phone. Today I give you the usual Monday fare: Instagrams.

Big news this weekend is that our medium sized sunflowers are blooming. There's even a red colored one getting ready to open! :o)
My nephew Stone is turning four in a few weeks, and my sister is having a cowboy themed party for him. I spent some time on Saturday making a bunting for the party.
I had lunch with my girl C on Saturday, and afterwards we did a little shopping. This little sparkly Buddha in a snow globe caught her eye and I thought she had to have it. {The blue earrings are mine!}
Hahahahahaha... Oh my gosh, this cracked me up...
Last fall I when planted some tomato plants, I also planted a jalapeno pepper plant. It was so close to not surviving that I almost pulled it out of the ground several times. At one point a bug or something had eaten it down to just a little green stick. I put this little turtle rock by it and what do you know? A few months later and we have a thriving little plant. I love stuff like this!
Doug was out on Saturday and I hadn't expected him back by dinner time. He ended up home early, so I pulled together a quick plate of grilled cheese sandwiches. He had no complaints. ;o)
We woke up yesterday morning to a broken air conditioning unit - ooh it got hot in our house by the time the repairman arrived at 2:00 p.m. Here's how Whiskers passed the time:
And that was our weekend - a mix of fun, creativity, laundry, and heat.
The good news is that September is JUST around the corner and summer is almost over!
We have a busy week ahead, and a 3-day weekend to look forward to.
Let's do it!

I'm afraid the onslaught of September isn't good news here....we don't seem to have had a summer this year!!
It sounds like a good weekend,Deb.
September is my most favourite month so that is indeed good news :o) However as Jacky says Summer never really arrived this year.
Love that shot of your cat!
Looks like that plant just needed a little turtle mojo! So glad you had a good weekend with your girl. You guys are too cute together. And that bunting is too too adorable!!! It would be great for an adult party too - how cute would it be at a BBQ?
Love the fact that there's confetti in the Buddha! I made Clara grilled cheese just the other day when she was recovering from her eye surgery. So comforting.

Thanks again for my little Buddha! I love him. :)
PS: I seriously just had to do your stupid captcha thing about 15 times to get this to post. Did you just add that in?
Such bright and cheerful bunting - just what I needed to day where our summer August day is giving us rain and 14C. Thank-you for the lift!
Love the bunting. Please post more pics as we are going to have a "cowgirl" party coming up!
Your kitty does not look amused.
Lovely bunting and I am glad the turtle obviously gave the plant what it needed!
Love the bunting..what a clever Auntie!
