One of my favorite flowers is a strawberry bloom - they are short-lived and just so pretty. We planted this strawberry plant in Rexy's habitat thinking it would be a treat for him to nibble on if he got super hungry. He basically ignores it.
I've been at my "new" job for three full months now - long enough for me to begin building some nice friendships with a few of my co-workers. {These things do take time...} One of my new work friends brought me a bag of what she calls "pearl tomatoes" from her garden. Doug and I had them on a salad yesterday and they were yummy.
Saturday afternoon I went to a birthday party at a bowling alley for one of Carrie's co-worker friends. My awesome shoulder didn't allow me to bowl, but I had fun watching and hanging out with a very nice group of people. :o)
A little out of order here, because this freaking amazing cinnamon roll was part of our breakfast Saturday morning. Doug and I met Carrie at Liberty Market in Gilbert for a yummy meal. After breakfast Doug went home, and Carrie and I headed to our favorite scrapbook store for some needed supplies.
Carrie and I joined a gym a couple of weeks ago, and my body is wondering what the heck happened here. I've got some sore muscles, so I took time off from the gym and did a lot of stretching this weekend.
Yesterday afternoon I made a batch of cupcakes for Doug to deliver to a friend who lost his wife last week. :o(
A bit of a sad note to end this post, but...that's how life is sometimes.
And here we are at the beginning of a whole new week.
Another chance to get out there and do some great stuff.
Blessings to all of us this week!!!

A bittersweet weekend for you and Doug. I love the sneak peek of your foot turtle!
Sounds busy! My weekend consisted of a day doing laundry and being sick, followed by a day doing more laundry and lots of shopping for grad party necessities. Not exactly exciting.
Weekends go too fast don't they? The only good part for me is I really slow down work wise in the summer so I get lots of free time with the kiddos.
Three months already? wow!
I always enjoy your weekend roundup posts - the business is infectious!
My weekend was a VERY good one :)
Your weekends always sound so busy....and so much fun.
ohhhhh, now I am craving a cinnamon bun!!!Have there been strawberries on the plant or is Rex just holding out for the red?
I had lots of fun hanging out with you this weekend. :) Love you!
I love your weekend recaps, and your awesome photos---love the one of your stretch!
A very busy week over at the scrapheap too. Where does the time go, one day it is Monday, you blink and then it is Friday - what happened in-between?
The weekend flew by and so did Monday!
Rinda
