Pass the Angel Stamps

A chance to share with friends.

Here's how this all started: Our lovely Sian started "Pass the Book" on her blog a while back. She would offer up a book as a giveaway, and the idea was that the winner of that book would borrow it for a while and then, in similar fashion, pass it along to another recipient who would then repeat the process.

Last month I offered up a DVD of "Thelma and Louise" and I called my post "Pass the DVD." My thoughtful friend, Alison, won the prize and I really hope she enjoys the movie with her daughter. I forgot to mention in my original post that just because I was "passing the DVD" that didn't mean that Alison was required to pass it. She can keep it for her own for as long as she wants, or she is welcome to pass it as she sees fit. The DVD belongs to her to decide.

Among the comments I received on that post was one from our down-under friend, Amy, in which she said, "Great idea Deb, this is a fun Pass the ____ idea!" What Amy didn't know was that at the time I was in the process of gathering items from my craft room to pass along to my blog readers in a "Pass the _____" kind of way.

It's true. Great minds do think alike!

I hesitate to admit this in a blog post because my husband reads my blog, but I'm hoping that some of you will echo your own similar confession in the comments so I won't look so bad. Eh-hm...here goes nothing: I have items in my craft supplies that I purchased with good intentions and have never used them. Like, they are still in their original packaging. {Sorry, Doug!!!} Come on, ladies, I'm not the only one, right?

Truth is, I really don't need all this stuff, so I'm going to start giving it away.

Who wants these acrylic angel stamps?
Anyone?
Anyone?

Leave a comment if you want them and I will draw a name and
announce the winner next Wednesday right here on my little blog.

PS: I'd love to hear your comments about what you purchase and then never use. Be sure to tell me in your comment if you want these stamps or not, that way I'll know if I should put you in the draw.

Hehehehee, Doug, close your eyes, block your ears and turn your back ... this is secret womens business now!

Let me say, buying things that are not used or rarely used can also apply to other items .. I collect lip glosses, packets of bandaids and bottles of soy sauce ... I mean really! ;-)

What a great idea for repurposing things and helping them find their true home, I think you are brilliant.

I will admit to owning a supply or two that has never seen the light of day. I love that you are ready to pass yours on to someone who will put them to good use - can't say I'm that someone though - no need to include me in the drawing.

No need to include me,Deb....I already own similar stamps....but had to admit to owning just one or two....or maybe even three or four....items that have never been used.

Oh, I hear you Deb! As you know, I have been giving away stamps all year (and will continue until December). I have about a dozen ink pads still unwrapped (although in my defense I got them at a store close out, and they were really cheap). I"m sitting on my hands and not entering for the angel stamps because I'm trying to edit my collection at the moment (although they are super cute).

I bet Doug has stuff he has bought for DIY projects! I know my man has.

This is a lovely idea. I'm not much of s stamper, so I'll stay out of the draw and hope they go to exactly the right person

Like Sian, I don't stamp terribly much so will sit this one out..you are full of good ideas though...and I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn that I have 'a few' things in my stash that have remained unopened!

I'm terrible at selecting stuff because it's a bargain ... look how much money I'll save!!! I'm getting better at evaluating whether I will really use it before taking it to the till though! I have several Christmas stamps purchased in this way - I always have such good intentions for card making when they are on offer in July!!!! With that in mind, I'll sit this give-away out thanks - but I'm sure someone will make good use of them!

JimJams had said more or less exactly what I would say! I can't resist a bargain and have lots of unused crafty items sometimes because they are too gorgeous to use! I have sorted out some stuff from my craft room and plan to give some away on my blog and I have already donated some to school. I will also leave these stamps for someone else this time xxx

Please don't put me in the draw & I'm currently in the process of moving my craft room to a larger room. I'll be moving things over slowly so I can organize & go through my stash along the way, so I'll let you know if I find any unopened packages. :>)

those stamps are cute I wish I can have them, I love to buy stickers when they are on sale.
I have some new but this year my goal is use all those things that I have.

Awhile back I was really into "StampinUp" and couldn't buy enough of their stamps. So I now have an entire dresser drawer full of unopened stamp sets. Thanks for giving me the idea of passing them along.
