Valentine crop at my house

This past weekend Carrie and I hosted a Valentine crop with some of our dearest crafty friends. Along with the basic Valentine theme, we also did a little gift exchange called "I ____" that Carrie came up with. Each person brought five of one item they and then we drew names and traded. You can read more about how it worked on Carrie's blog, but let me tell you, it was so much fun!

I bought these little heart shaped tins a few years ago for really cheap at a yard sale.
I finally put them to good use!

My thing that I "" was fresh flowers, and I used them for centerpieces before giving them away to five of the ladies whose names I drew.

I made these tissue paper flowers and Carrie helped me hang them from the ceiling. And you can see my doily heart garland hung outside on the patio. {Doug has agreed to let me leave them up until after Valentine's day!}

 I made red velvet cupcakes and they were really yummy!

 In fact, we had all kinds of yummy things to snack on!

Yes, Carrie, the bowl was big enough to hold all the names!

Our friend Vee calls Carrie "Daughter" and nothing else. We her.

 Jenn worked on a magnetic advent calendar - ADORABLE!!!

Corri re-vamped a "follow your heart" sign that she found in the $1 bin at Target. SO cute!

Everything Barbara touches becomes a beautiful piece of art. These bags held the five things she ♥'ed.

 Barbara turned large match boxes into works of art. {Yes, Barbara, you are an ARTIST! Say it!}

 Michelle worked on a sewing project - the start of an adorable skirt.

And here we are, in all our glory.
A great day with great friends.
We these moments we get to spend together!

I have no friends close by who like to scrap, I rely on my friends far and wide for that shared experience - your day looks very happy and a lot of fun!
