My Instagram Weekend Recap

Ah...it's Monday once again.

I sat down this morning, ready to create my weekend recap post, when I realized that all the photos from the past few days fall into one of three categories:  1) already been shared; 2) promised Carrie I wouldn't share; or 3) being saved for a future blog post.

What I do have are Instagrams.
{geraniums blooming on our patio}

Maybe the reason I'm constantly amazed by technology is that I'm old enough to remember life without computers. {~gasp~ I know, I know. Old.} One of the first things I did when I got my new phone was to download the Instagram app. Seriously? I love this thing.

{hot tea at Wong's Place - lunch with my girl C}

Instagram allows you to share photos you take with your phone with other Instagram users. It's kind of like Facebook and Twitter in that it's a feed concept, but the thing I like the most right now is the ability to enhance the photo with different filters. I try every one and then go back and do it again to find the filter I like the best for the photo I've just taken. I love it.

{On our dresser...Doug's catch-all place}

{I love a double baby shower!}

{baby donuts for baby shower}

{colored pencils at Anthropology with Carrie on Saturday. Love!}

{Yay! They still make peppermint mocha and it's not even December anymore!}

{"Yes!!! The front door's open!!!"}

{Little old lady, Fancy Jane. Watching football with Doug.}

{ugh. one. more. week.}

And there you have it. Another successful weekend.
How was yours?

PS: Do you use Instagram? I'd love to see your photos!
And if you'd like to follow me I'm paperturtle.

I haven't got into Instagram yet and I've been avoiding it because it'll be one more thing - I battle enough with keeping up. Looks like you had a wonderful weekend and - yay!! - only one more week of the sling! Have a great week Deb :o) xx

I'm a hipstamatic girl, but wow! you can really work the Instagram. More than enough to persuade me to try it :) And, yes, I remember life without computers. And life when you had to save some film for the next special moment

Love Doug's catch all though I did have to do a double take to see the turtle. LOL. Oh and I too remember life without computers.

I have not fallen down either the pintarest or the instagram rabbit hole yet, although I'm starting to weaken on the latter.
Can't wait for you to be free of that sling! When you are and typing is easier, would you be willing to post a tutorial on altering wooden blocks? It's one of the projects I'm looking to do next.

How does it get to be Monday again so quickly? Although I could say the same about Tuesday, as I had a lovely day out with a friend yesterday, so must catch up today!
Hope this last week flies for you xx

I'm a crackberry girl and know exactly zero about apps, so no instagram for me. But you sure can rock it Deb!

Oh, my! Some other bit of technology that has come along without my knowledge! I feel like I don't fit in anywhere--is there an app to help you live in the 50's? Love the pictures! Last weekend when Stone was here, I sat in the backyard and watched him play with his best buddy (Papa Rod) and he went over to my geranium plant and picked the lone bloom and brought to me. Needless to say, I melted! Love you and love feeling like catching up for a few minutes! xo

Great pictures Deb,love the one of the cat with those wide open eyes. No instagram for me. Maybe once my crackberry contract runs out I'll switch over to an Iphone and yes I remember life before computers - we were just talking about typewriters last night.
