A Little Birdie Baby Shower

A very happy Sunday morning, blog friends.
This morning I'm showing you a few photos that I took at my two nieces' double baby shower yesterday. I thought you'd enjoy seeing some of the sweet little touches my SIL {and the soon-to-be-grandma}, Laurie took the time to put together for all of the guests. The theme was "A Little Birdie Told Me" and she had birds and birdhouses and birdcages tucked everywhere. It was adorable! So without further adieu...

The framed sign under these branches read "A little birdie told me..." and guests wrote words of advice for the two moms-to-be on these cut out birds and pinned them to the branches. It was such a sweet display as soon as you walked into her house. She'll punch a hole and put them on a ring for a mini-book for each of the new moms.

For party favors she had these sweet little boxes with baby's breath seeds inside. The images were stamped and embossed and oh-so-cute!

This sweet garland/banner that read, "Welcome to the nest, little ones" {Cut with "Songbird" cartridge on a Cricut machine.}

There was an outdoor table {in the Arizona sunshine} for decorating onesies with fabric paint and pens:

And the cutest little diaper cakes with these adorable birdhouses that my SIL made. {I have a couple of these wooden birdhouses in my stash and have been wanting to cover them with paper. I just love what Laurie did with these!}

The sweets table {Yes, those are 52 Donuts #3 - more about those later this week...}

Every little detail was so sweet and I spent most of my time oohing and aahing over cute little touches Laurie had created. I loved spending time with my awesome SILs, nieces, friends, and my girl C to celebrate the upcoming births of two new babies in this family.

And perhaps my niece, Bethann said it best:
A lovely afternoon spent with lovely women.
It doesn't get much better than that.

The attention to detail is amazing! Everything is so pretty. Baby showers are only starting to take off here, but what a persuasive example this is!

What a wonderful celebration, you all put so much time and trouble into making it perfect. Beautiful.

ps the word verification that I have to type in below is 'quins' - I do hope that's not an omen!!!
