Hello and happy Monday to you, my dear friends.
I was left to my own devices this past weekend while
Doug and Carrie were living it up in Las Vegas.
{Don't feel sorry for me - I do not like Vegas.}
♦ ♣ ♥ ♠
Carrie had a bit of car trouble just before the trip, so they ended up taking my car. I could have driven Carrie's car or Doug's truck in a pinch, but didn't have any real need to do so. So I stayed home and took care of a little Christmas business. Like cards:
And some wrapping:
Got ready to make a trip to the post office. I'll still have one more trip in a week or so when my mom's package is ready to be mailed. Or, maybe I'll sweet talk Carrie into mailing it from her work...
The Santa belly card shown above is a design I've been seeing all over the place lately. I made two to use as notecards for Mom and Grandma this week.I finally broke down and turned the heater on. Last year I made it till December 3rd. This year December 2nd. Our air conditioning unit runs constantly from May through October. Once that's over we like to leave our unit turned off for as long as possible. It's just what we do...
I stayed in my pajamas all day yesterday. I seriously can't remember the last time I did that! I watched a little Indiana Jones with a couple of furry friends:
Why, yes, as a matter of fact, that is a plastic ram by our TV - courtesy of my late mother-in-law, PJ. PJ was random - I loved that about her. That's why when I came across this ram recently I knew we had to display it this year.
Fancy Jane likes Harrison Ford too.
Good kitty.
♥
On the agenda this week: more Christmas prep!
Ready.
Set.
GO!

Sounds like a perfect weekend to me! Hope Doug & Carrie came home with their shirts still on ...
I really need to come visit you - your house looks so festive with those Santa hats hung on the chairs! I'm fighting a monster head cold and other than the obligatory laundry and grocery shopping, I accomplished a big fat nothing all weekend. Bah humbug!
Sounds a perfect crafty,TV watching, christmas preparing weekend...and I love the look of your cards.
The title of your post made me laugh - Deb, "wild and crazy?" wow!
Then, the story of the Real Weekend...
Sounds a bit wonderful - a whole weekend to yourself, with peace and quiet, your favourite films, your favourite cats (well, cat perhaps, judging from the previous post...) and a very Christmassy feel in the (nicely heated) air!
Your photos are lovely and it certainly does "look a lot like Christmas" in your house.
Happy Christmas Deb (though I'll probably say that to you lots more times before we're through!)
Sounds like an awesome weekend!
I love pyjama days ;)
I need to get a move on my packages. yikes.
have a great week ahead. xo
Sounds like a glorious weekend to me! Every time I think I am going to get one of those life tangles it up.
Your photos are always stand outs - they are so lovely to look at! I think you have us all wishing we could have been hanging out right there with you this weekend
Looks like you had a fab 'catching up on Christmas' weekend. I love times like that when you can just 'do whatever'.Love your cards xx
Sounds like a great weekend to me :). Hugh recommended I watch "Beginnings" (I think that's right -had Ewan McGregor and Gregory Peck in it) I wasn't too sure but what a touching movie. I'd recommend it too :).
Christmas seems to be coming along nicely at your house. I'm not doing too badly but keep adding more :-p xxx
You sound as though you were super productive ... and I know what you mean about heating and airconditioning, we usually have similar situations, except this year it is not all that hot - so far. I really shouldn't say things like that out loud, because it'll be hot .. soon enough!
That all sounds perfect Deb...I think I'm in need of a pyjama day!
Alison xx
what a lovely list of things you've done.
i simple UHdore this time of year!

Those cards are really cute - I pine for a weekend like that! Soon, very soon.

What a fabulous weekend and I am with Fancy Jane on the Harrison Ford adoration! Happy Monday to you and happy rest of the week too. xxx
Sounds great to me, too! I think mine was a blur.
Sounds my kind of week end x
Presley and I had a crafty weekend--that little girl loves to craft! Even had a trip to Hobby Lobby which she loved! Even did a Christmas "wreath" project for Stone's daycare. Of course, your sister was SO disappointed that we didn't save it for her to do! (add wink here!) Yeah, my weekend was busy but your's was productive--big difference!! Love you! xo
