We're still cleaning up from the crazy dust storm we had last week.
"Chip" {my pretend pet turtle} got a much needed bath.
And so did my car,
and our patio.
I bought myself some flowers. :o)
And I listened to the new mix CD that Carrie burned for me.
I love it! Random songs by Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Hanson,
and The Beatles to name a few. And I love that it's on a CD that
looks like a vinyl record. Thanks, Carrie!
Made some hard-boiled eggs that were really yummy. I tried a new way of cooking them and they peeled really easy this time! {Cover eggs in cold water and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes then remove from heat. Let stand for another 5 minutes and then rinse with cold water. Perfection.}
Made some yummy cookies - white chocolate chip and pecan.
Cooked a bunch of meat because the freezer in our garage decided to take a break {GFI switch flipped...} and thawed stuff out. Saturday I cooked {and then wrapped and froze} two pork tenderloins and four chicken breasts, and yesterday I cooked a turkey. I used our roaster oven and cooked it all out on our patio so as not to heat up the kitchen with the conventional oven. {I thought that was pretty smart of me!}
Took an early morning walk and enjoyed this beautiful sunrise.
Did some packing with a little help from my friends.
Enjoyed lots of Arizona storms. Friday and Saturday nights were dry -
thunder, lightening, and more dust {though no where near last week's
dust storm}. But last night we got some much needed rain.

Everything smells so nice and clean this morning!
How was your weekend?

Our weekend was glorious, saw Tim McGraw, the Band Perry and Luke Bryan Friday night! Chip immediately brought a smile to my face, your patio illicited an ewww but the flowers and kitten got me back to a good place ;)
Road trip up to Fort Bragg, CA -- the most beautiful country along the California northern coast. Redwoods, redwoods everywhere. A very precious and moving ceremony to scatter Aunt Betty's ashes and a wonderful visit with all the family and friends who were able to make the trip.
Don't know how you cleaned up all that dust! Sneeze much? And the cooking spree you were on! Proud of you that you didn't let it all go to waste!!! Love you! xo
Was supposed to be busy, busy watching the boy play soccer but his game got cancelled and scrimmage rescheduled, so ended up kindof a homey weekend.
Plus I did the portrait class assignmnent, which at up most of the day.

I love that fresh, clean smell after it rains. It's always so refreshing. Love too that you're always the 'mom-friend'. So cute.
That was some dust storm!
Love that CD Carrie made you, I've not seen them like that, how cute.
I went cropping this weekend so that was fun on Saturday and then a total chill out day on Sunday. A good weekend!
My goodness, Deb...that's enough accomplished for THREE weekends. You get the Wonder Woman award this week. : )
Sorry to hear about all the thawed out meat. : (

Cute pictures from the weekend! Glad you like the CD I burned. :)
Love the CD that looks like vinyll...and I've taken to taking the electrical cooking appliances outdoors to save on heating the kitchen too! Is the move imminent?
