This is a woman. {a Mother's Day tribute.}

In honor of Mother's Day,
{a little late because we were all out of town}
I want to tell you about the woman I
have the honor of calling
my mom.

This is a woman who has more friends than I can count.
.
This is a woman who adores her 9 grandchildren even more than (or every bit as much as) she adores her own children.This is a woman who became a single mom at the age of 34. {I'll do the math for you: I was 15, Valerie was 14, Ron was 12 and Tim was 7.}

This is a woman who sacrificed for herself in order to clothe and feed four hungry, ornery kids/teenagers and we had fun while doing it. {Ok, so it wasn't all fun, but we definitely grew up to be a fun bunch of people.}
.
This is a woman who found out four months ago that she has cancer. {She just had her fourth round of chemo and could really use your prayers.}

This is a woman who spent Mother's Day this year with all four of her children for the first time in 20+ years. {I'm pretty sure that's why she's glowing. :o) }

This is a woman I love very deeply.
You would too if she was your mom.

Where are the words to describe my feelings right now? There are none. Once again in the space of just a couple of weeks, you have overwhelmed me with your love. For the first time today, the tears are for pure joy. Thank you, my darling daughter--I love you to the moon and back! xoxo

I wish that I could "like" grandma's comment on this. :)

(Well, I do like it, but you know what I mean.)
