A giveaway {with strings attached}

Did you know that every type of cancer is represented by a color?
The color of my mom's cancer is teal.
When my sister ordered these plastic bands, I had her add some extras to use as giveaways on my blog. I would be honored and grateful if you, my blog readers, would wear one of these bands as a way of supporting my mom in her fight against ovarian cancer.
So, I'm giving these teal cancer awareness bands away here on my blog while supplies last.

My California family wearing the bands last weekend:
My Arizona family sporting them this week!
{thumbs up for Marti!}
To receive one of these bands, please send
your mailing information to me at
paperturtle {at} cox {dot} net
Thanks so much for your love and support!
My mom {Marti} and my family and I really appreciate it!

My cup (and eyes) runneth over! Thank you all for supporting me through this very difficult time--not only for me but for my family. As a mother, you never want your children to have any worries, problems, etc in their lives but some things are unavoidable. I love my family and love all the support Deb is receiving from all her blog mates! And Carrie--love you too, Sweetie! xo

Deb - I would be honored to wear a band in honor of your mother's battle. I still have my pink one from when I walked in the breast cancer 3Day and my own mom died from renal (kidney) cancer. I always believe in supporting the cause and working towards a cure!

I would love to show my support for you, your Mum and family if you have any left. The girls and I will also be doing Race for Life this year which is a 5km walk/run (I'll be walking!) for Cancer Research. xx

It would be an honour Deb. If you haven't any left, let's think of a way of crafting some more!

I would love to support your mum and would love to wear one of the bands. I did not know there was a colour code for this, I always knew pink was associated with breast cancer but didn't know it extended further. I shall make sure I wear something that colour on Sunday to show my support xxx

What a wonderful idea. If you have one left I would be honored to wear it. I am coping with my Dad's prostate cancer which he has had operations for and is now receiving treatment for, so I can quite understand how you are feeling. With love to your whole family.

I didn't know each different cancer had a different colour associated with it - I have read all your Team Teal posts today - but blogger has been a nuisance and not always let me post my comments - so I hope this comment works. I would be honoured to wear a band to raise awareness. Sending prayers and positive thoughts to your mum - and wishing her many more happy birthdays. J x
