Ok. I'll admit that the title is corny.
I can be that way sometimes.

Last weekend during our trip to downtown Phoenix we happened upon an area that had all these cool graffiti walls. Graffiti in the sense of really cool murals {as opposed to gang-related-thug walls}.
.
Carrie and Janae and I each had cameras with us, so we were snapping left and right. I'll just give credit for these photos to all three of us and leave it at that.
This wall was in direct sunlight, but we couldn't resist taking at least one shot. This is what you get when you use a small cardboard box instead of a tripod:
Oh...and then we found this metal wall. We took SO many photos on this wall! Here are some of my favorites:
Say "cheese" for Mommy...
Hamming it up - so unlike us {eh-hm}. Oh we had some laughs, and even cracked ourselves up once we got home and uploaded our craziness. This is one of the less zany shots:
Love my girlfriends...
Typical stand off.
Another wall in direct sunlight, but it had to be taken...
Since our excursion downtown, I have been looking at walls in a different way, thinking about what time of day the sun isn't shining on them and planning more photo sessions - with a tripod next time.
.
Comparing the photos in this post has been an educational experience for me. Seeing the different lighting and thinking about camera settings for next time will help make some improvements. Anyway, these are really fun shots and are screaming "MINI-BOOK" material!!! I'll post it when it's done. {wink}
♥
PS: For those of you in the Phoenix area who are interested, these photos were taken near Roosevelt between 4th Street and 6th Street and there abouts...

Wow! fabulous photos Deb!! you found some great backdrops there. If you ever go down there again I would love to come with you, kind of worried about going there alone:)
This was such a fun day!
Now that's taking crafting to a whole new level!
I loved these photos when I saw them on FB and they made me smile again today. What great photo ops!
How bright our world would be if all big-city downtown blight was turned into graphic, colorful art! These shots are so wonderful and full of fun! xo
Wonderful walls,Deb....shows what great art gaffiti can be.
Deb, this looks like so much fun!
I found a great wall not long ago and I'd love to take some shots of my son beside it for his 16th birthday next month. But can I persuade him? No way. Though you have made me determined to try again..
You really are too fabulously adorable Deb! And good for you - I love that you're really learning and rocking your camera!
Love you and the turtle! Looks like you had a superfun day with your girlies.
I love this post! There are a couple of walls down in the harbor area that I'm dying to do some portraits in front of. Just need to find some willing models . . .(oh, and some time!).

Fabulous! I can't wait to see the mini-book.
So happy that you found a turtle! No-one minds 'wall art' when it looks that good.
Loving the photos Deb...super cool and a great way to spend some time with people who are as crazy as you...lol...xxx
Love the pictures. I love graffiti art. The artists are so talented. What a fun day you guys had!
Even with the harsh mid-day sun, you managed some great shots!
What a fun trip and great pics! I love graffiti, the non-gangster kind:)
I hope January is treating you well.
I love art on building walls. We live close to Philadelphia and I have been enjoying the wall art there! There's lots of it!
Fabulous shots!! I shall be looking at walls in a new light myself :-) (As for direct sunlight, oh, I remember sunlight.... Maybe we'll see it here again some day?!)
Yup, I get it. This is the part that Margaret is looking forward to
These are hilarious pics! I can see you make good use of your 2hr lunch break.
