Around our house at Christmas time

Nothing fancy this week for Sian's Christmas Club entry,
just a few December photos taken around our house...
.
Our living room
{including a few elk and deer antlers, a few bottles, a tree, and a cat...}
.
A few favorite ornaments
{I made this little mouse in a matchbox in 1983. It's older than Carrie.}
.
An angel I made from raffia in 1992.
.
An angel I made using strips of muslin,
and gold wire for her wings in 1996.
.
That turtle ornament in my blog header?
Here's what he looks like inside.
And a few other turtle ornaments...
.
My favorite Christmas socks.
.
All is calm. All is bright.
And to all a good night.

It doesn't have to be fancy when it's filled with love! Your house looks beautiful - I love that artfully placed red chair: so very Christmassy!

Deb, your wonderful cheerleading and your heartfelt contributions every week have made CC a very special project for me. Your comment today made me laugh and cry at the same time - we are all wishing you the very merriest of Christmases :)

How wonderful to get a peek into your house at Christmas. I love all the ornaments you've made over the years, all the turtle ornaments you've collected and your Christmas socks ;). Your tree is beautiful and your house so festive! (And how wonderful to have such high ceilings in your house!) xx

It's so much fun to see your house and decorations. I once had a mouse in a matchbox. I wonder what happened to it?

It was so nice to see all your Christmas finery up close and personal last weekend! You have a decorating knack! And the cutest decorations! Rod put our tree up last night and did a beautiful job. I'm up to my ear lobes in projects so it was nice to have him step in and get the job done! Have a great week, Sweetie! xo
