A little something for a friend...and a tutorial.

I met a friend this afternoon and wanted to take a little something to give to her, so I whipped this up before I left the house. {Yes, it was that easy!}
.
>^..^<
~ note Fancy Jane in the background ~
I used two pieces of unbleached muslin, cut the same size, and
stamped a design on each piece with some StazOn ink.

I sewed the pieces together, trimmed the corners...

...turned, pressed, and filled with chocolate.

Gave it away to my blog friend, Marlene who
I had the pleasure of meeting for the first time
today at our local scrapbook store.
PS for Marlene ~ Thank you SO much for the fun book you gave me! I love it! And I love that you thought of me for gifting it. ♥

You know what? I think I could make that - this looks divine and I love it! If only the sewing machine wasn't packed away and I had a table or bench that could be cleared to use ;-)

That is such a great idea and, as you say, simple enough to make in a hurry. I love it!
Isn't it fun meeting blog friends for real!

Wow - how quick and simple a gift is that? Stored away in my head for future use, thank you.

*sigh* You are such a lovely person, Deb. x And you know what, I think even I could manage a gift bag like that ... where can I find unbleached muslin?

OK, now I need to add unbleached muslin or linen to my shopping list! Thanks for sharing the tutorial, I will definitely be trying this one, the little bag makes such a difference in turning a little bag of sweets into a proper gift.
My niece loved the little bird by the way. She was fascinated by its little yellow legs!

Love the way you 'just whipped it up'....though it does look fairly simple to make....or simply gorgeous.

What the what?!?! You AMAZE me! Such a sweet way to add that personal touch, makes me want to make a bunch for Christmas gifts. Did you just cut the top with decorative scissors? Love!
