My haiku contribution.

Haiku in blogland.
Trying to think of my own.
Silly peer pressure.
.
:o)

My blogfriend, Rinda is great at coming up with clever ideas to get us thinking in common. She recently posted a photo, wrote a haiku to go with it, and challenged her readers to do the same. I instantly loved the idea and vowed to do one myself.

Day after day went by; and each day brought a new haiku on a familiar blog. With each one that I read I thought, "Oh! I need to do my own before I read too many more of these... What if I can't come up with something original?!?!"

eh-hm.
.
That's when I came up with the haiku at the top of my post. It's sarcastic, I know. I can be that way at times. But I've been counting syllables on my fingers for the past week and it was the first one I wrote that worked!

Alright. Let's be serious. My niece Presley lost her first tooth last weekend - Carrie pulled it for her! So...
Carrie pulled her tooth.
The tooth fairy comes tonight.
Presley's new milestone.

Okay, I think I've got it! Can't do it but I've got it!! I had to Google haiku--how sad is that? Ouch, shouldn't have owned up to that on a public site!

Love this pic of Pres! And your cute haiku! xo

I'm going to own up here to googling for a syllable counter, but ssh! don't tell everyone lol. I love what you did with it Deb.

It was worth waiting for! Does make you kind of obsessive about counting syllables though doesn't it?!
Love the missing tooth picture - such a big milestone in growing up.

Love the Haiku - I can't do with wobbly teeth and the children at school know this and say 'Miss' and when I look round wobble a hanging out tooth and watch me almost vomit on the spot!

But I do like lovely cute gappy smiles.

Very, very clever Miss Deb! Karen is funny about her wobbly tooth comment - I was a bit the same last Sunday when one came out over here :-)
