Stickers - Class Prompt/Assignment

Oh boy. I knew it was coming and I was still unprepared. I never - like, ever - use stickers when I scrapbook. That could be why I really don't have many stickers in my collection of scrapbook stash (probably the only thing I don't have much of in my stash...).

I realize there aren't a lot of stickers on this page, but I dared not to go out and purchase more stuff for Shimelle's "Something from {Almost} Nothing" class, so here's what I came up with:

The numbers and the word "Me" are white stickers I've had for...well...a long time. I stuck them onto some black cardstock and trimmed around them, trying to get them to work with my "Celebrate Life" album's color scheme.

While this challenge hasn't sparked an interest for me to use more stickers on layouts in the future, I am very much enjoying the challenges this class has presented so far. It's good to be pulled out of the scrapbook rut I'd been in!

Even a novice like me avoids stickers--can't get into them. But once again, you've used them in a very fun, artistic way! Love your journaling on this new page! xo

I just love this page.....great journaling....and love the way you've used the stickers.
My only stickers are alphas and numbers as well.

I love your journaling on this page, and your blog photo is even more beautiful enlarged.
I've been working on decreasing my sticker stash (except for kids' activities), but I still have tons of alphas.
Thanks for sharing,
Rinda

Yes, I agree that it is a good layout.
I like what you did with your stickers. Not everyone likes them - we all have some item(s) we don't like that much - but you have used what you had, which is the aim of the class!
I love your journalling. I so agree with your reasons for loving to blog - I feel much the same myself.
I also like the flowers - did they come exactly like this, or did you make some /embellish them yourself?
A great page and a fun subject.

What a great page and I love the photo with the red background, it really ties it in with the rest of the page. I avoid stickers, apart from alphabets for titles and they tend to be thickers ;o)

I love everything about this page! The design, the sentiment. It makes me want to do a complete copy, right down to the journaling :) Fabulous.

Ladies ~ Thank you SO much for your very sweet comments. :o) They make me SO happy!!!

And, Lizzie ~ the flowers are some that I made using a punch. Some I crumpled up, then flattened out and inked. The little red ones I folded each petal back and then inked. Thanks for noticing them.

XOXO to each of you!

I can't quite understand how I have so many stickers!! Or how you've managed to get away with having so few! But I really love this layout - and how you're sticking to such a classy, gorgeous colour scheme. Great subject for a layout too.. might borrow this idea some time! :o)

I love the colour scheme and the cut strips of journalling but most of all I love the flowers. They are definitely my thing of the moment.
