Shimelle's example showed pleated ribbon, but I stepped a little out of the box and gathered mine instead. I liked the look of the gathers, so I made my ribbon flowers the same way. I used a 5" piece of ribbon, ran a gathering stitch along one edge, pulled it tight and added a button.
I like this layout, but it's not my favorite. I think I should have stopped adding stuff long before I stopped. Oh well...still love the photo (us 3 at our niece's wedding this past weekend) and continuing the color scheme for my "Celebrate Life" album.
I caught up on two of the class prompts last night and my work table is beautifully trashed. Time to tidy up before I start on anything else!

I love that photo of the three of you!!! I need to try to gather ribbon like that. Your table looks like mine, only I don't clean it, lol
You really have such wonderful photos in your album!
I realized that I will never use up all the ribbon I own, but that's okay b/c it's pretty well contained in on container, so it doesn't annoy me too much.

Your ribbon flowers are so cool, and I'm loving the shot of your desk!
So nice to see a photo of the three of you together. Looks like you had nice weather for the wedding too :)
I'm afraid I'm not much of a ribbon person and tend to shy away from it (even though I have jars full!)
Oh my, yet another *stunning* layout :-) The gathered ribbon is lovely, and nicely different from the pleated examples x
It is not an embarrassing amount of ribbon, it is an "inspiring" amount of ribbon. It makes me want to shop!! :-) Love both pages!!
Wow, I am really loving what you did with the ribbon at the bottom. This is going to be such a beautiful album :)
I need to get a wriggle on and start something! Love your pages so far!
