FLOWERS.
~sigh~
~sigh~
I was happy when I saw Friday's prompt for Shimelle's class, "Something from {Almost} Nothing." We were to use flowers from our stash and to acknowledge the good things that surround us. I chose a couple of photos taken in a field near our northern property where we camp (sometimes just the two of us, other times with friends and family). The photos just take me back there...
I have been on a bit of a roll with making flowers lately. I made a bunch of them over the past week while I was off work. (Ironic now that I think of it; I was supposed to be using what I had on hand, not making more to add to the stash! Oh well. I had fun.)
Anyway! I decided to combine some handmade elements and mix in some flowers I've had on hand for a long time. I used brads for the centers on some, buttons and rhinestones in others.
I was having so much fun constructing these flowers that I made a few too many to go on the page. This is my idea of some yummy leftovers! :o]
Good times.

Another stunning page, simply gorgeous.
The flowers you made are beautiful and so is the page! Have a great weekend!
I so love your flowers.
Any chance of a step by step lesson in flower making? These are so pretty and I love the thought of being able to make my own when the colour I need is not in the collection I have!
You should totally add those to your etsy shop too, they are all so cute!!!! Such good color combos
The flowers are gorgeous....I so love flowers....real and paper. Love your page as well.
So I am starting to sound like a broken record here... We need to do those for an afternoon crop too.. LOL so much to do, so little time!!
Love them ♥
Those leftovers are delicious!!!
I agree that you should bag them and sell them. I'm having a little trouble on the flower prompt, but your l/o has inspired me a bit.
Thanks,
Rinda
Yes, definitely put them in your etsy shop (or they'd make a very acceptable givea away!!). They have a lot more "heart" than the bought ones. Another beautiful looking page..I especially love the touches of blue.
I LOVE this page Deb!
I loooove these flowers... they inspire me to do similar ones....
Love your hand made versions - and your layered up embellishments. Very pretty.
I like making my own flower embellishments too - with bought and home made flowers.
Great layout!
Stunning flowers and a another lovely page! I'd love to know how you make them too, they are really fab.
It's a gorgeous page Deb and your album is coming together very nicely - can't wait to see it finished!
Gorgeous! Would so love a tutorial on how to make those fabulous flowers!
