1 - a bouquet of flowers
I have always made a habit of having fresh flowers on our kitchen table. I usually don't buy roses, but our local grocery store had these on sale a few weeks ago and I just couldn't resist. Wow - they were beautiful! Started out as tight little rose buds, opened wide, and lasted a full week! ♥ I read recently that having fresh flowers in your house can help fight depression. So there. :o)
2 - an ornate door knocker
This is one of those items that I wondered if I'd be able to find. When we arrived at my father-in-law's house last week for dinner there it was, for my photographing pleasure. {Three cheers for our US Marine Corps! Hip-hip-OOorah! Hip-hip-OOorah! Hip-hip-OOorah!}
5 - architectural columns
Downtown Chandler, Arizona - the old part of town that's all renovated and trendy and fun now - and a bit barren at this time of day. Summer heat, you know.
7 - a turtle
Casper the turtle to be exact. We've had such a great habitat for our two box turtles in this house! We'll really miss being able to see them on a regular basis because our new house doesn't have an atrium. Our new digs will require some clever thinking to figure out where we will keep them once we move. You know I'll keep you posted...
15 - a flag pole with at least three flags on it
(flags are US, Arizona, City of Chandler)
Text from Carrie a few weeks ago: "Wanna know some really good news?"
Me: "Of course!"
Carrie: "I found a flagpole with three flags on it."
Me: "OMG that's fantastic!!! Where?!?!"
I love that Rinda's photo hunt gets the whole family involved. This flag pole was in downtown Chandler in front of the Center for Performing Arts.
16 - a panoramic view, taken from someplace high in the air
We attended a Diamondback's baseball game on July 4th and arrived at the ballpark super early. I loved being able to get a table at Friday's, high above left field before crowds filled the place! We were able to watch batting practice before the game, have a leisurely dinner, and take a photo for Rinda's photo hunt. :o) Diamondbacks on the field, Carrie and Andrew on the right.
18 - an overloaded truck, car, bicycle or other vehicle
I snapped this photo on our way home from California at the beginning of June. Overloaded vehicle times two.

Thirteen down, eight to go!

These are great! I'm going to treat myself to a bouquet of flowers soon.
Love these pics! I've never been more excited to see flags...I had my eye open for those everywhere! <3
Love those columns.
Caspar, how I love you! And that's a really cool door knocker. I'm having trouble with the three flags and a heavily laden vehicle.
I'm a firm believer in flowers on the kitchen table. They're very affordable, and give me so much pleasure. Good find for #15; best one I've seen yet.
I'm catching up today over a pile of holiday unpacking and it's so good to be enjoying your photos again. Now you know which turtle I'm going to be using, of course :)
Brilliant collection - you've been very observant. I love the columns one ...
You're doing so well! How lucky to have a resident turtle to photograph!
These are great and of course you had Caspar on hand for a photo opp!
Super photos, love the turtle and the flags and the door knocker. Great set of snaps, BJ
Of course my favourite is Caspar!
Oh my, what beautiful roses!!! WOW!
That's a very original door knocker - but my favourite is the flags. When I saw on instagram way back I actually emailed it to my "flagpole friend" as proof that such a thing does exist! I like how you interpret the prompts.
wonderful finds! Love the panorama of the field!
Great finds. I'm not sure either whether I'll find a flag pole with three flags on it ... I've seen plenty of three flag pole with one flag each. I don't even know whether multiple flags is a thing here in Australia.
Love the turtle.
Beautiful roses. I just love that turtle. Well done on the flags with a littl help!
All great finds! Your flowers were truly amazing!
This is super!! OOrah indeed!!! [I have many USMC men in my family!!] I'd LOVE to have that door knocker myself. As soon as I saw your flags, I knew it was AZ....we lived in Arizona [Tucson] for over a decade.
I joined in this time around and posted my finds. If you'd care to stop by for a visit, I'd love your company!!
