I wanted this post to contain words to tell you how I feel about this little girl. I wanted to articulate the way she humbles me and reminds me that life is full of new beginnings, how tiny and floppy and frail she felt as she was passed from one aunt to another last weekend. And the way the simplest little twitch of her mouth sends everyone around her scurrying because we all want to make her happy. She's just a perfect little miracle and a breath of fresh air for our family.
There's something so magical about having a new baby in the family - something I'm still soaking in and processing in my mind and heart. So instead of a whole bunch of jumbled and mushy words today, I'm giving you a whole bunch of photos of Olivia's little world right now.
Olivia's mommy stenciled this design on the wall over her crib. Photos don't do it justice - it is gorgeous!
Of course, I took some photos of my brother, Ron, with his wife, Ryann and their new baby girl. I loved having the opportunity to photograph them! I think this one is my favorite:
Great big love in a teeny tiny package.
My heart does flip-flops over her.

PS: I made Olivia's PaperTurtle onesie by using an iron-on transfer sheet. I thought she looked adorable in it! :o)
She's an absolute darling! And what a pretty start in life she has had with all those lovely things :)
Babies truly are the best! Love all the pretties and pretty colors in her room.
It is all just so cute.
love how you have captured so many of the tiny details Deb and what a wonderful welcome Olivia has had from her family
What a darling baby; no wonder she has stolen your heart! Will you make a scrapbook for her of your visit to meet her? That would be a wonderful thing.
Olivia is adorable. Who can blame you for being totally smitten x
What a delicate precious bundle of love. So sweet!
She's just as beautiful as her name! No wonder everyone is so awed!
Olivia is just so beautiful Deb - absolutely gorgeous! New babies are the best, and I agree that all those little details of her world are perfect :) X
Beautiful post and what an adorable baby
...and who could blame you she is beautiful.
Congratulations to the parents and to Olivia's Aunts. It's obvious Olivia will grow in a loving home. May God Bless Olivia always.
Doing a great big catch-up today Deb. Oh, how I've loved you posts from the last week or so. These pix are just gorgeous, as is the big family shot. Your post on hunger really touched my heart. Paul has always volunteered and donated to food banks because, as he puts it, what could ever be wrong with feeding people?
Rinda
She's adorable Deb!
