Last Saturday I noticed some bees buzzing around a sunflower in our backyard, so I grabbed my camera and sat down underneath it. The sun was really harsh, and I had a tough time seeing my camera's display screen so I was just kind of winging it on camera settings. All of these were taken with my 50mm lens, and I cropped them to get a closer look at the bees. So, they're not as sharp as I would like, but still some neat photos, I think. :o)
What a beautiful day to be on the planet.
Even if you don't like bees {Carrie}.

They are great shots. I've made a few attempts at similar and the bees move too fast for me!
Not too keen on bees myself....but love the sunflowers.
Perhaps not unsurprisingly, your sunflowers are way ahead of ours! The only thing that appears to be actually growing is the clover!
I adore bees and bee photos ~ these are amazing!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! Love your sunflowers.
I probably sound like a broken record - but your glorious sunflowers are a lift to our grey skies here. A very welcome sight!
fabulous captures, I sometimes find it liberating when I can't see the screen and just shoot and then get to look later
Great shots. I do love sunflowers and I don't mind bees, but wasps are another matter!
wonderful shots,Deb!

gosh those sunflower shots with bees are fabulous and so beautiful I say yay for bees xxx
Such beautiful photos especially with the harsh sun. I love the strong colours.
Great shots! Catching bees is not an easy task. I love the fourth one as the bee flies toward the sunflower.
great shots and great perspective!
Wow, great shots although you wouldn't have got me that close to bees on purpose.
Great shots love those bright yellow sunflowers with the blue sky.
These are fantastic. The colors are so intense.

Beautiful shots Deb! I love the backlighting and I think they would make a great series in a frame. We're having trouble with not enough bees here, are you suffering the same in the States?
